Consenting to the Sale of Land in Block VI, Huiroa Survey District, under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 92 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Ethelbert Alfred Ransom, the Minister of Public Works, do hereby consent to the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the electric works for which it was acquired.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block III, Opunake Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Upper Kahui, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 acre 2 roods 6·5 perches.
Being portion of part Lot 2, D.P. 565, of Section 2 (Ngati-tuhekereangi Block).
Situated in Block III, Opunake Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of an automatic-telephone exchange: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of St. Barnabas Extension No. 5, affecting part of Rural Section 94 in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft:
Now, therefore, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such road of a width of 49·5 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
