Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of July, 1929.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and gazetted the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, prohibiting all alienation of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and gazetted the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, prohibiting all alienation of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Regulations regarding the Purchase of Settlement Land on Deferred Payments under Part II of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 15th day of July, 1929.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section one hundred and eight of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations, and doth hereby declare that the regulations hereby made shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

REGULATIONS.

  1. THE following provisions shall apply to any land in respect of which a license to occupy, pending the purchase thereof on deferred payments, is issued under Part II of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1928 :—

(a) The licensee shall, from the date of his license, reside continuously on the land comprised in his license.

(b) The licensee shall once a year throughout the term of his license, and at the proper season of the year, properly cut and trim all live fences on the land at the date of the
