The South-western Side of Portion of Gibson Street, in the City
of Wanganui, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128
of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to
the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
July, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution
passed by the Wanganui City Council on the eleventh day of
June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, viz.:-
"The Wanganui City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Wanganui, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred
and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not
apply to that portion of the street known as Gibson Street,
adjoining Lot 2 on deposited plan Number 3017, a distance
of 95.8 links";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-
western side of the portion of Gibson Street (described in the
Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-western side of all that portion of street situated in
the Taranaki Land District, City of Wanganui, known as
Gibson Street, fronting Lot 2, D.P. 3017. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75868,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Portions of Roads in the County of Peninsula exempted from
the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act,
1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following

second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
nine, viz:-
"That this Council agrees to the exemption of the roads
abutting on part Section 21, Block VII, Portobello District,
as shown on the plan herewith, from the provisions of
section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works
Act, 1928";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions
of roads (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance
of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions
of roads.
SCHEDULE.
THE southern side of all that portion of road in the Otago
Land District, Peninsula County, known as Harbour Terrace,
fronting part Section 21, Block VII, Portobello District.
Also the western side of all that portion of road situated
in the said land district and county fronting part Section 21,
Block VII, Portobello District.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 75516, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured brown and edged red.

Member appointed to Katikati Hot Springs Scenic Board.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the fourth day of
February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
eight, and published in the Gazette of the ninth day of that
month, the control of a certain reserve in the Auckland
Land District, known as the Katikati Hot Springs Scenic
Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who
were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by
the name of the Katikati Hot Springs Scenic Board, in pur-
suance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act,
1908: And whereas it is desirable that Rainhold Edmund
Robert Lindemann should be appointed a member of the
said Board in place of Walter Oswald Burgess, who has left
the district:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and autho-
rities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint the said
Rainhold Edmund Robert Lindemann
to be a member of the Katikati Hot Springs Scenic Board
constituted by the Warrant dated the fourth day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, hereinbefore
referred to, in place of the said Walter Oswald Burgess.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 9th day of July, 1929.

Land temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District as
an Addition to a Site for a Public School (Ngatea).

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section
of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the
Governor-General may from time to time set apart tem-
porarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in
his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said
section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from
sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in
the Schedule hereunder written, as an addition to a site for
a public school (Ngatea).
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 3.14 perches, more or less,
being Lot 6 of Section 41, Block I, Waihou Survey District:
Bounded towards the north by Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Sec-
tion 41 of the aforesaid block, 552.01 links; towards the
east by Section 23 of the aforesaid block, 50.0 links, towards
the south and again towards the east by Section 52 of the
aforesaid block, 248.9 and 400.3 links; again towards the
south by Section 24 of the aforesaid block, 422.54 links;
towards the north-west by parts of Lot 2 of Section 35 of
the aforesaid block, 468.86 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 6/6/112, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered

General, this 5th day of July, 1929.
