The Leasehold Interest in Land in Block XII, Rolleston Survey District, taken for the Purposes of a Prison.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the estate of leasehold in the land described in the Schedule hereto held by Abraham Ellis from His Majesty the King for a term of thirty-three years from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, such lease being registered as No. 238 in the Land and Deeds Registry Office at Christchurch, in Register-book, Volume 260, folio 148, is hereby taken for the purposes of a prison; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the leasehold interest is taken: 78 acres 0 roods 23 perches. Being Section 4, Drayton Settlement.
Situated in Block XII, Rolleston Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75693, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of July, 1929.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto, such roads being no longer required.

The Samoa Prisons and Constabulary Amendment Order, 1929.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of July, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of Samoa conferred upon him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby make the following regulations in amendment of the Samoa Prisons and Constabulary Order, 1929.
REGULATIONS.
- (a) THESE regulations may be cited as “The Samoa Prisons and Constabulary Amendment Order, 1929.”
(b) These regulations shall be read together with and deemed to form part of the Samoa Prisons and Constabulary Order, 1929 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).
- The provisions of clause 12 of the principal Order shall not apply to any present or future member of the Samoan Constabulary with respect to whom the Administrator has recommended that it shall not apply, and in such case such member shall be entitled only to such clothing, board and lodging, or to such allowance in lieu thereof as the Administrator may approve.
