I HEREBY give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Owaka Area of the Otago Electric-power District, held on 14th January, 1929, on a proposal to raise a loan of £16,500 for the reticulation, &c., of that area, the following votes were recorded: For the proposal, 141; against the proposal, 17; and, as the number of votes in favour of the proposal exceeds three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal carried.
