Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Act, 1926.
Mining Registrar’s Office, Thames, 19th June, 1929.
NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 of the Mining Act, 1926, that the mining privileges held under the licenses mentioned in the Schedule hereto will, unless sufficient cause to the contrary be shown, be struck off the Register of Mining Privileges at the expiration of three months from the date hereof.

NEW ZEALAND.—FOVEAUX STRAIT.—BLUFF HARBOUR.
Channel Rocks.—Lighted Beacon to be installed.
Position: Lat. 46° 37′ S., long. 168° 20′ E. (approx.).
Date of Installation: Without further notice.
Details: An iron-pipe beacon, exhibiting a flashing white light every 3 seconds, thus: Flash ½ sec., eclipse 2½ secs., has been installed on Channel Rocks, south-westward of the front beacon on Te Waewae Point.
Remarks: The Middle Bank leading beacons in transit lead close northward of the newly installed Channel Rocks beacon.

Extraordinary Election of Member of Board of Appeal under Public Service Amendment Act, 1927, as Representative of Officers of the Public Service.

I, THOMAS MARK, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Public Service Board of Appeal, hereby notify, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Amendment Act, 1927, and the regulations relating to the Public Service, that the only officer nominated to fill the vacancy occurring on the said Board was Charles de Rant Andrews, Esquire, of the Valuation Department, Dunedin.
I do therefore hereby declare that the said

is duly elected a member of the Public Service Board of Appeal.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—WEST COAST.—HOKIANGA HARBOUR.
General Harbour Signals.—Temporarily discontinued.
Position: Lat. 35° 32′ S., long. 173° 23′ E. (approx.).
Details: A recent heavy gale has caused extensive damage to the signal staff at the signal-station on South Head and exhibition of the General Harbour Signals has been temporarily discontinued.
Whilst repairs are being carried out all Bar or Danger Signals will be made by the International Code of Signals.
Remarks: No further notice will be issued.
