cottages or for acquiring suitable buildings for roadmen’s
cottages, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one-sixteenth (1/16th) of a penny in the
pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value)
of all rateable property within the County of Waitomo, and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of July in each and every year during a period equal to
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Waitomo was hereto affixed
in the presence of—

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.
Dargaville-Katui Road Loan.
WHEREAS the Hobson County Council for the purpose
of providing the interest and other charges on a
loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000), authorized to be
raised by the Hobson County Council under the provisions
of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of
forming and metalling the Dargaville-Katui Road and
Maropiu-Kairara Road, did, on the 25th day of May, 1921,
make and levy a special rate of two pence (2d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
Dargaville-Katui Special-rating District, comprising the
following area:—
Starting from the south-eastern corner of Section 42,
Taharoa Subdivision, Block XV, Kaihu Survey District;
thence by the eastern boundary of Section 42 and eastern
and northern boundary of Section 8, and north-eastern
boundary of Section 4, the north-western boundary of Sec-
tions 4, 3, and 2, all of Taharoa Subdivision; thence by
the north-eastern and north-western boundary of Section 41;
thence by the north-eastern boundary of Section 22; thence
by the north-western boundary of Sections 22, 21, and 20;
thence by the south-western boundary of Section 31 to the
north-western corner of said Section 31, Taharoa Subdivision;
thence in a direct line to the sea; thence by the sea to the
south-west corner of Block X, Waipoua Survey District;
thence by part of the southern boundary of said Block X;
thence by western and northern boundary of Section 7 of
Block X, Waipoua Survey District; thence by part eastern
boundary of said Block X, Waipoua Survey District; thence
by southern boundary of Sections 23, 22, 21, and 20 of
Block XL, Waipoua Survey District, to the Waima Stream;
thence by the Waima Stream to the south-western corner of
Opanake No. 1b of Block XIII, Tutamoe Survey District;
thence by the north-western boundary of the said Opanake
No. 1b to the Terewhati Trig.; thence by the north-eastern
boundary of Opanake No. 1b to the southern boundary-line
of Block IX, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the
southern boundary of said Block IX and southern boundary
of Block X, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the eastern
boundary-line of Block XIV, Tutamoe Survey District, to
the northern boundary of Section 8 of Blocks XIV and XV,
Tutamoe Survey District; thence by northern boundary of
said Section 8 and Sections 9 and 10 of Block XV, Tutamoe
Survey District; thence by eastern boundary of Section 10;
thence by northern and eastern boundary of Section 15 of
Block XV, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by eastern
boundary of Section 17 of Block III, Kaihu Survey District;
thence by part western boundary of said Section 17 and
southern boundary of Sections 5, 4, 3, 2, of Block III, Kaihu
Survey District; thence by part west boundary of said Sec-
tion 2; and thence by eastern boundary of Opanake No. 1c
No. 3, Block II, Kaihu Survey District; thence by northern
and eastern boundary of Opanake No. 2m 3 to the Kaihu
Stream; thence by the Kaihu Stream to the Dargaville
Borough boundary; thence by the Dargaville Borough
boundary to the starting-point.
And which resolution appears in the New Zealand Gazette
of 1921, page 1526: And whereas the Hobson County
Council now finds it necessary to increase the said special rate
so that the annual produce thereof shall suffice to provide
the payment of interest and other charges on account of the
said loan, the said Hobson County Council, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, increases the said special rate
from two pence (2d.) in the pound to two and one-half pence
(2½d.) in the pound, and hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property in the said Dargaville-Katui
Special-rating District, as hereinbefore described, and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of June in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

NELSON-BLENHEIM EXPRESS SERVICE, LTD.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 230 of the
Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of mem-
bers of the NELSON-BLENHEIM EXPRESS SERVICE, LIMITED
(in voluntary liquidation), will be held at the offices of Stewart,
Beckett, and Co., 152 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on
Tuesday, the 18th day of June, 1929, at 2 o’clock p.m., for
the purpose of having an account laid before the company
showing the manner in which the winding-up has been con-
ducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of
hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company, held on the
13th day of May, 1929, the following special resolution was
passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting
of the said company held on the 28th day of May, 1929,
the said resolution was duly confirmed, namely :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
PERCIVAL EDWIN CLARK be, and he is hereby, appointed
Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”
