I, John Hamilton Wilson, being the auditor of the Hokitika Savings-bank, appointed in terms of section 4 of the Savings-banks Amendment Act, 1923, hereby certify—(1) That I am satisfied that the foregoing balance-sheet has been properly drawn up from the books, accounts, and vouchers of the Savings-bank so as to exhibit a true and correct view of the state of the Savings-bank’s affairs as at the date thereof, in accordance with the requirements of the Savings-banks Amendment Act, 1923. (2) That I have verified the cash, investments, securities, and assets of the Savings-bank as at the date of the balance-sheet. (3) That I have obtained all the information and explanations I have required. (4) That the manager has certified that all the requirements of the Savings-banks Act, 1908, and amendments, have been complied with.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR LOAN OF £1,320.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments thereto, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Raglan County Onewhero Riding Supplementary Loan of £1,320 (1929), authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the forming and metalling of various roads in the Onewhero Riding for which a loan of £14,000, authorized in 1924, has proved insufficient, and with the consent of the Local Government Loans Board and the consent of the Governor-General in Council had and obtained, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Onewhero Riding of the County of Raglan, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 22nd day of May, 1929.

The Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been affixed by order of the Council, this 22nd day of May, 1929, in the presence of—

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of NONPAREIL MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LTD.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders of NONPAREIL MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LIMITED, held on 3rd May, 1929, the following special resolution was carried and duly incorporated in the company’s minute-book:—

“That in view of the position of the affairs of the company, that the company proceed into voluntary liquidation, and that Mr. ROBERT CRAIB ROSS, Accountant, of Wellington, be appointed Liquidator.”
