Appointment of Officers under Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-
General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the
Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and
Documents Act, 1919, appointed

Charles William Moji, of Mount Bruce, Wairarapa,
John William Rupert Reay, of Foxton, and
John Ormond, of Taihape,
to be officers for the purposes of Part II of the first mentioned
Act, in respect of the Wellington Acclimatization District.

STAFF.

Captain W. G. Gentry, N.Z. Staff Corps, in addition to his
present duties, is appointed Area Officer, Area 5A, Wellington.
Dated 18th April, 1929.
Lieutenant C. E. Weir, Royal N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes the
appointment of Assistant to the Officer Commanding,
Royal N.Z. Artillery, Central Command, and is appointed
Assistant Area Officer, Area 5A, Wellington. Dated 22nd
April, 1929.
Captain R. S. Park, Royal N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes the
appointment (temporary) of Officer Commanding, Royal
N.Z. Artillery, Central Command, and retains the appointment
of Adjutant, Central Coast Artillery Group, Wellington.
Dated 12th March, 1929.

N.Z. STAFF CORPS.

The notices published in the N.Z. Gazette, No. 56, of 6th
August, 1925, relating to Captain V. G. Jervis are cancelled,
The notice published in the N.Z. Gazette, No. 35, of 14th
April, 1921, relating to Lieutenant V. G. Jervis is cancelled,
and the following substituted:
Lieutenant (late Captain, N.Z.E.F.) Vincent Gordon Jervis
is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class IIa, with
rank of Captain. Dated 16th March, 1921.

N.Z. PERMANENT AIR FORCE.

Captain H. B. Burrell, from the N.Z. Air Force, to be Captain,
with seniority as from the 3rd January, 1929. Dated 1st
May, 1929.

Lieutenant T. F. Wallace is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 7. Dated 26th April, 1929.

2nd Lieutenant (on probation) J. W. Mason, from the Wellington
West Coast Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation). Dated 9th April, 1929.

Captain T. O. Lambie to be Major. Dated 13th December,
1928.

THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.

Lieutenant W. Moore, from the Reserve of Officers, to be
Lieutenant, 1st Battalion. Dated 3rd May, 1929.

THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.

Lieutenant L. F. Edgecumbe, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 11th May, 1929.

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.

Lieutenant L. Shotlander, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the
Otago Regiment. Dated 9th May, 1929.
2nd Lieutenant A. A. Cook, from the Southland Regiment,
to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from
the 21st April, 1927. Dated 6th May, 1929.

THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.

The undermentioned Lieutenants to be Captains:
C. F. McAllum, 1st Battalion. Dated 29th March, 1929.
E. H. W. Rowntree, 1st C Battalion. Dated 19th April,
1929.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) J. W. Mason, 3rd C Battalion,
is transferred to the Corps of N.Z. Engineers, Central
Depot. Dated 9th April, 1929.
Sydney Hanton to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion. Dated
4th May, 1929.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants. Dated 1st
March, 1929.
Christen Edward Iversen, and is posted to the 3rd C Battalion.
Walter Edward Gudsell, and is posted to the 4th C Battalion.
Frederick Richard George Aitken to be 2nd Lieutenant
(on probation) and is posted to the 2nd C Battalion.
Dated 19th March, 1929.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

Captain R. W. S. Botting, 1st C Battalion, is transferred to
the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 11. Dated 9th
May, 1929.
Lieutenant L. Shotlander, from the Wellington Regiment, to
be Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 24th June, 1928,
and is posted to the 3rd C Battalion. Dated 9th May,
1929.
Lieutenant K. W. R. Glasgow ceases to be posted to the 1st
C Battalion, and is posted to the Southern Artillery Group
for duty with the Artillery Section, Otago Boys' High School
Cadets. Dated 8th May, 1929.

THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.

2nd Lieutenant A. A. Cook, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the
Wellington Regiment. Dated 6th May, 1929.

N.Z. AIR FORCE.

Captain H. B. Burrell is transferred to the N.Z. Permanent
Air Force. Dated 1st May, 1929.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

The Reverend Ernest Sydney Emmitt to be Chaplain, 4th
Class (Methodist), and is transferred to the Reserve List,
Class II, R.D. 5. Dated 6th May, 1929.

RESERVE OF OFFICERS.

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).

The notice published in the N.Z. Gazette, No. 25, of 11th
April, 1929, relating to the retirement of Captain W. G. Ivil,
is cancelled and the following substituted:
Captain W. G. Ivil is posted to the Retired List, with
permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed
uniform. Dated 6th February, 1929.
