Setting apart Crown Land under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 37, Block XI, Ruakaka Survey District: Area, 1 rood 32 perches.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of May, 1929.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Primary-education Endowment in the Auckland Land District, and reserving Crown Land in lieu thereof.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest so to do, cancel the reservation over any education reserve or endowment vested in the Crown, or over any part thereof, and to reserve in lieu thereof either an area of equal value of national-endowment land over which the reservation has likewise been cancelled pursuant to that section or an area of equal value of ordinary Crown land:

And whereas the Governor-General deems it expedient in the public interest to cancel the reservation over the primary-education reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, and to reserve in lieu thereof the area of Crown land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, do hereby cancel the reservation over the primary-education reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, and do hereby reserve in lieu thereof the Crown land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY-EDUCATION RESERVE OVER WHICH RESERVATION CANCELLED.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 448 acres, more or less, being Section 2, Block VIII, Whareorino Survey District: Bounded towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east by Section 3, Block VIII, Whareorino Survey District; towards the south-west by Sections 10 and 12, Block VIII, Whareorino Survey District; and towards the west by Kinohaku West G No. 1c No. 2 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/497, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plans 12690-2 and 12704.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND RESERVED IN LIEU THEREOF.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 543 acres, more or less, being Section 3, Block XI, Whareorino Survey District: Bounded towards the north by Section 7, Block X, Whareorino Survey District, and Section 3A, Block XI, Whareorino Survey District; towards the east by Section 11, Block XI, Whareorino Survey District; towards the south by Section 3, Block II, Awakino Survey District; towards the west by Kinohaku West E No. 1c No. 2 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/497A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plans 12743 and 13481.)

Notifying Land in Hawke's Bay Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash; and I hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.-HAWKE'S BAY COUNTY.-FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Heretaunga Survey District.

SECTION 9, Block VIII : Area, 1 acre. Upset price, ยฃ100.

Situated three miles and three-quarters from the Napier Post-office, nearly opposite the Awatoto Railway-station, and lying between the Napier-Hastings main road and the sea.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of May, 1929.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of State Forest in the Auckland Forest-conservation Region for other Land.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section four of the Forests Amendment Act, 1925, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of State forest which is subject to the provisions of the Forests Act, 1921-22, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient to exchange the area of State forest described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange and has agreed to pay to the Crown a sum of money by way of equality of exchange :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of State forest described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule upon payment by the owner thereof of the sum of money hereinbefore referred to by way of equality of exchange.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 333 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 2, Block IV, Waipu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the north-east by State Forest No. 25 (Gazette, 1906, page 1430); towards the east by Section 3, Block IV aforesaid; towards the south by the Waipoaka Stream; towards the west by Sections 222 and 223, Mareretu Parish; towards the north-west by the Kikowhiti Stream; and towards the south-east by a public road; save and excepting the intersecting public road. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 11/5, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 71 acres, more or less, being Section 402, Waipu Parish, situated in Block II, Waipu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the north-east by Section 284, Waipu Parish; towards the south-east by Sections 283, 325, and 328, Waipu Parish; towards the west by State Forest No. 25 (Gazette,
