Classification of Streets in Northcote Borough.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments I, William Andrew Veitch, for Minister of Public Works, do hereby declare that the streets described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Northcote Borough, shall belong to the respective classes of streets shown in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

NORTHCOTE BOROUGH.

Streets classified in the First Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry, subject to Regulation 3) :—

Northcote Main Highway (Queen Street Section) and Onewa Main Highway (from Queen Street to Lake Road).

Streets classified in the Second Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 8 tons) :—

Northcote Main Highway (Lake Road section) and Onewa Main Highway (from Lake Road to western boundary of borough).

Streets classified in the Fourth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 4 tons) :—

Alfred Street, Alma Street, Beach Road, Belle Vue Avenue, Bruce Street, Church Street, Clarence Road, College Road, Duke Street, Exmouth Road, Fairfax Avenue, Faulkner Road, Gladstone Road, Gordon Road, Grenville Road, Hillcrest Road, Howard Road, King Street, Ocean View Road (metalled portion at north end), Princes Street, Raleigh Road, Richmond Avenue, Rodney Road, Sea View Avenue, Stafford Road, Sylvan Avenue, Tennyson Street, Valley Road, Vincent Road, Waimana Avenue, and Woodside Avenue.

Streets classified in the Fifth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 2½ tons) :—

Kauri Glen Road, Milton Road, Nelson Avenue, and Ocean View Road (clay portion at southern end).

Classification of Roads in Matamata County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments I, William Andrew Veitch, for Minister of Public Works, do hereby declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Matamata County, shall belong to the respective classes of roads shown in the said Schedule.

MATAMATA COUNTY.

Roads classified in the Third Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 6 tons) :—

That portion of No. 19 (Waitoa–Taupo) Main Highway extending from the Piako County boundary southward to the junction of Campbell Road, Tokoroa.

Roads classified in the Fifth Class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 2½ tons) :—

That portion of No. 19 (Waitoa–Taupo) Main Highway extending from the junction of Campbell Road, Tokoroa, southward to the Taupo County boundary.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments I, William Andrew Veitch, for the Minister of Public Works, do hereby declare that the No. 328 Main Highway from National Park to Taupo is hereby classified as fourth class (available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 4 tons).

Appointing Thursday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Borough of Mosgiel.

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the Borough of Mosgiel was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 1st day of May, 1929 :

And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Mosgiel has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Thursday as the statutory closing-day in the said borough :

Now, therefore, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, do hereby appoint Thursday as the statutory closing-day in the said borough as from the 27th day of May, 1929.
