Additional Land at Scargill taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway (Waipara–Mackenzie Branch).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waipara-Mackenzie Branch of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway to take further land at Scargill, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 1 rood 14 perches.

Part Lot 2, D.P. 2269 of R.S. 7538, Block XI, Waikare Survey District, Waipara County. (S.O. S.P. 2083.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 105, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of April, 1929.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.


SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 25, Block III, Ohura Survey District: Area, 3 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of May, 1929.
