These sections, situated in the Township of Taumarunui, are all suitable for building-sites.
Sections 11 to 17 of Lot 1 of Block XIVA are situated in Taitua Street. A small creek runs through the centre of these sections, widening out on Sections 11, 12, and 13.
Sections 12–14, Block XIX, have a frontage to the Main Taupo Road, and lie between the road and the railway. These sections are level and have a small creek running through the centre.
Section 11, Block XXVI, situated at the corner of Ngatai and Para Streets, mainly a level section, but with a high bank along the Ngatai Street frontage.
Section 8, Block XXXI, is situated on the Main Taupo Road. Level section, rising slightly towards the back.

Section 5, Block V: Area, 5 acres 3 roods 3 perches. Upset price, £120.
Weighted with £244, valuation for improvements, comprising dwelling of five rooms (in poor repair), felling and grassing, approximately 35 chains of fencing. This amount is repayable either in cash or by a cash deposit of £4; the balance being secured to the State Advances Superintendent by an instalment mortgage over a period of twenty years; interest at 6 per cent. Half-yearly instalments £10 17s. 7d.
Section situated within the Borough of Taumarunui, one mile and three-quarters from Taumarunui High School and one mile and a quarter from the post-office and railway-station. Originally this section was in heavy manuka, but is now in poor pasture. The soil is a medium clay loam, resting on papa formation, the conformation being easy to hilly.
Section 8, Block V: Area, 6 acres 0 roods 37 perches. Upset price, £75.
Section very suitable for a stock paddock, situated in East Street, Rangaroa Suburbs, being only a quarter of a mile from the Taumarunui Railway-station and township.
The area comprises hilly country of pumice formation. Originally surface-sown pasture, now covered in ragwort, fern, and scrub. Ring-fenced, and connected with the town water-supply.

Weighted with £20 for improvements, comprising two old sheds, 10 chains road fence, and 20 chains boundary fencing; payable in cash.
Property suitable for either pig or poultry farming, situated at Lairdvale, about one mile and a half from Taumarunui Township, by good metalled road; undulating to broken land covered with manuka, the soil being of a light loam on pumice formation; watered by a spring.

I N pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations for the Military Forces of the Dominion of New Zealand, published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven: And I do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from date of publication thereof in the Gazette.

SECTION III.—COMMAND, RANK, PRECEDENCE, ETC.
- PARAGRAPH 94—Add at end:—
“Provided that in the N.Z. Medical Corps, the N.Z. Dental Corps, and the N.Z. Veterinary Corps, no officer will be given seniority from a date preceding that on which he qualified as a practitioner, unless as otherwise provided for in the cases of those who hold Certificates ‘A’ or ‘B’ in the appropriate corps, obtained in an Officers’ Training Corps in any part of the British Empire, or while serving in the Otago University Medical Company, N.Z. Medical Corps.”
