Land taken for Drainage Purposes in Block III, Titirangi Survey District, New Lynn Town District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for drainage purposes, and shall vest in the New Lynn Town Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 17 perches. Being portion of Section 7, Block IV, Hetana Hamlet.

Situated in Block III, Titirangi Survey District. (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 25149.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75137, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of April, 1929.

His Majesty’s Assent to the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1928, and Date Act comes into Operation.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the assent of His Majesty has been given to the British Nationality and Status of Aliens (in New Zealand) Act, 1928, and that the said Act shall come into operation on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of April, 1929.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act: and I do further declare that for the purposes of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1924, the said lands shall be deemed to be “heavy bush” lands, and that after the first half-year’s rent has been paid by the selector the further instalments of rent payable by him for a period of two years and a half shall not be demanded: Provided that if at any time during the first five years of his occupancy the selector disposes of his interest in the land the rent so conceded shall be paid by him in full,

and thereupon the Land Board may remit such instalments of rent payable by the incoming tenant, not exceeding in the aggregate the amount of rent previously conceded to the selector, as the Board thinks fit.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTIONS 44, 45, 46, Block IV, and Section 11, Block VIII, Kaitieke Survey District: Area, 350 acres 2 roods 15 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of April, 1929.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Kanieri Survey District, described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 16 acres 2 roods.

Adjoining Sections 2008, 2121, 2135, 1770, and 208.

Situated in Block XIV, Kanieri Survey District.

In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/887, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2305, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of April, 1929.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

Lot 358, Parish of Pirongia, Pirongia Survey District. Approximate area: 200 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of April, 1929.
