HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.
Mt. Pleasant Waterworks Loan (No. 2 of £2,200).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest at 5½ per cent., and sinking fund of £2 2s. per cent. per annum on a loan of £2,200, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of sinking wells, water reticulation, and erecting new reservoir, pumping plant, and pipe-line in the Mt. Pleasant Riding, the Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/16th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable property of all the rateable property situated in the Mt. Pleasant Riding of the County of Heathcote, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable on the 1st day of August of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Avoca Valley Water-supply Loan (1929 of £600).
That, for the purpose of providing interest at 5½ per cent., and sinking fund of £3 per cent. on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of laying a water-main from the railway-line at Chapman’s Road to Avoca Valley, in the Special Area of the Hillsborough Riding, the Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of half of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property contained in the special-rating area, which is very clearly defined in the following Schedule, situated in the Hillsborough Riding of the County of Heathcote, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of August of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE.
All that land in the Canterbury Land District, situated in Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point being the north-west corner of Lot 1, D.P. 5386; thence in an easterly direction by the northern boundary of said D.P. 5386 to and across Chapman’s Road; thence in a southerly direction by the eastern side of Chapman’s Road aforesaid to Hill’s Road; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of the land shown in C.T. 248/14; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundary of the land shown in said C.T. 248/14 to the south-western corner of the said land; thence in a westerly direction by a right line to the easternmost corner of Lot 10, D.P. 5319; thence in a south-westerly direction by the south-eastern boundaries of said Lot 10, D.P. 5319, and Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 7028, to the south-eastern corner of the last-named lot; then by the south-western and north-western boundaries of said Lot 2, D.P. 7028, to the southernmost end of Avoca Road; thence in a westerly direction by the southernmost end of the said road, and the southern boundaries of Lot 8, D.P. 5319, to the south-western corner of the last-named lot; thence in a northerly direction by the western boundaries of said Lot 8 and by Lots 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3 of D.P. 5319, and by the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 8364, and continuing by the western boundary of part Lot 2, and Lot 1, D.P. 5319, to the north-western corner of said Lot 1; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of said Lot 1, D.P. 5319, to Avoca Road; thence by a right line across Avoca and Hills Road to the southernmost end of the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 5386; thence in a northerly direction by the western boundary of said Lot 1, D.P. 5386, to the point of commencement.

NOTICE is hereby given that it was resolved, pursuant to section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908, and by way of special resolution dated the 31st day of December, 1928, that KIRK AND COMPANY, LIMITED, be wound up voluntarily, and that CHARLES FITCHETT OLIVER be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto carried on by the undersigned under the style or firm of “PRICE AND McNABB,” General Carriers and Wood and Coal Merchants at 106 Northland Road, Wellington, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 18th day of January, 1929. All debts due to and owing by the said firm will be received and paid respectively by Mr. James Price, by whom the business will be carried on in future.
