this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, from the date of the gazetting of this Order in Council, hereby revoke the declaration as a main highway the street or portion of street situate in the Featherston Borough and named in the First Schedule hereto, and doth declare that the streets or portions of streets situate in the Featherston Borough and named in the Second Schedule hereto shall become main highways.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
FEATHERSTON-MARTINBOROUGH: All that street or portion of street in the Borough of Featherston commencing at the intersection of Fitzherbert Street and Revans Street and proceeding in a south-easterly direction via the said Revans Street, and terminating at its intersection with Donald Street, being a distance of 48 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71206, and thereon coloured red and marked “A-B.”
SECOND SCHEDULE.
FEATHERSTON-MARTINBOROUGH: All those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Featherston commencing at the intersection of Revans Street with Donald Street and proceeding generally in a north-westerly direction via the said Donald Street, Fox Street, Birdwood Street, Bell Street, and Johnston Street, and terminating at the intersection of the said Johnston Street with Harrison Street, being a distance of 66 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71206, and thereon coloured green and marked “B-C.”

Declaring Portions of Roads in Highway District No. 2, Franklin County, to be Main Highways.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of January, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that, as and from the date of the gazetting of this Order in Council, the portions of roads enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall become main highways within the meaning and for the purpose of the Main Highways Act, 1922.
SCHEDULE.
GREAT SOUTH ROAD (BOMBAY HILLS DEVIATION).
ALL that portion of road in the Franklin County, known as the Bombay Hills Deviation, commencing at a point on the existing Great South Road Main Highway about 2½ chains south of the northern boundary of Lot B (D.P. 6559) of a subdivision of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block XII, Drury Survey District, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction generally through Blocks XII and XVI, Drury Survey District, Block XIII, Opaheke Survey District, and Block I, Maramarua Survey District, on to and along a public road known as Ford Street, in the Township of Pokeno, and terminating at the junction of the said Ford Street and the existing Great South Road Main Highway in the Township of Pokeno, being a distance of 6 miles 7 chains, more or less.
Again from a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Main Trunk Railway Reserve opposite Section 684, Township of Pokeno, across the said railway reserve, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction through Block I, Maramarua Survey District, and terminating at a point opposite the southernmost corner of part Allotment 190, Parish of Mangatawhiri, in Block I, Maramarua Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 7 chains, more or less.
As the said roads are more particularly delineated on plan marked P.W.D. 74174, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
