ISBEL CATHERINE WALLACE-SMITH, of the City of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Spinster, hereby give public notice that I have assumed and adopted, and determined on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Wallace” in addition to the surname of “Smith”: And I hereby give further notice that by deed poll dated the 19th day of March, 1929, duly executed and attested, and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Wellington, I have assumed and adopted, and intend to henceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Wallace-Smith” instead of “Smith,” and so to be at all times hereafter called and described by the name of ISBEL CATHERINE WALLACE-SMITH exclusively.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned FREDERICK VALENTINE WYLLIE and HEDLEY RALSTON WYLLIE (both of Napier, Motor-garage Proprietors), and carried on under the style or name of “Wyllie and Wyllie” was on the 10th day of April, 1929, dissolved.
The business hitherto carried on by the said Partnership will in future be carried on by the undersigned Frederick Valentine Wyllie alone, but under the same firm name of “Wyllie and Wyllie,” as heretofore.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court or alternatively under supervision of the Supreme Court was, on the 10th day of April, 1929, presented to Mr. Justice Adams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Bing, Harris, and Company, Limited; Ross and Glendining, Limited; Paterson and Barr, Limited ; Smith and Smith, Limited ; Andrew Lees, Limited ; Commercial Trading Company, Limited ; Arthur Ellis and Company, Limited ; and Robinson Brothers, Limited ; all duly registered companies, having their registered offices in Dunedin, and carrying on business there as merchants, creditors of the said company : And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 3rd day of May, 1929, at 10 o'clock a.m., at the Supreme Court House, Timaru ; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the said Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose ; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

FEATHERSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Featherston Borough Council Streets Improvement Loan of £1,000 (1929), authorized to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of streets improvement and purchase of plant, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Featherston, and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves on the 15th April, 1929, as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) to be known as “The Wellington City Unemployment Loan, 1929,” authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out public works for the relief of unemployment—namely, widening and formation work at Sydney Street, Tinakori Road, Glenmore Street, and Chaytor Street, and other works required for improved access to the western suburbs—the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-fourth of a penny (1/34d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 30th day of April, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.
