Additional Land at Glen Innes taken for the Purpose of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway (Auckland-Westfield Deviation), and for Street-diversion in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Auckland-Westfield Deviation of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land at Glen Innes, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway, and to take land for street-diversion in connection therewith:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on plan marked L.O. 159, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple, red, and blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of April, 1929.

Land in the Wellington Land District proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, as amended by section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is enacted that on the disposal of any national-endowment land by way of sale, or on the acquisition of the fee-simple of any such land, the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare that such land shall, as from a date to be specified in the Proclamation, cease to be national-endowment land:

And whereas the fee-simple of the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land heretofore held under renewable lease, has been acquired, and it is expedient that the said land should cease to be national-endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment land.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.

SECTION 28, Block XVI, Akatarawa Survey District: Area, 40 acres.

Providing that Bay of Islands County Council shall cease to be a Hospital Board, and apportioning Representation for Kaikohe Town Board and Bay of Islands County Council on the Bay of Islands Hospital Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of April, 1929.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection two, of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is enacted that if in the Bay of Islands Hospital District there is at any time a contributory local authority other than the Bay of Islands County Council, the Governor-General may by Order in Council provide that the County Council, being the Hospital Board for the hospital district, shall cease to be the Hospital Board, and that a Hospital Board shall be elected as provided for in the said Act:

And whereas in the Bay of Islands Hospital District there is a contributory local authority other than the Bay of Islands County Council—namely, the Kaikohe Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities him in this behalf enabling, doth hereby provide as follows:-

  1. That the Bay of Islands County Council shall, as from the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, cease to be the Hospital Board for the Bay of Islands Hospital District:

  2. That a Hospital Board for the said hospital district shall be elected as provided in the said Act:

  3. That the number of representatives of each contributory district on the Board of the said hospital district shall be the number specified in the Third Column of the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that contributory district:

  4. That the day of the first election of representatives of the Bay of Islands County and the Kaikohe Town Board respectively shall be the date on which shall be held the next general election of members of the Bay of Islands County:

  5. That the regulations made on the 29th day of March, 1923, under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and enuring under the said Act, and published in the Gazette on the 22nd day of March, 1923, at page 773 shall, so far as applicable, apply as if incorporated in this Order in Council:

  6. That the Order in Council made on the 3rd day of September, 1928, and published in the Gazette on the 6th day of the same month at page 2756, providing for the addition of a representative of the Kaikohe Town Board to the Bay of Islands County Council in its capacity as the Hospital Board shall henceforth be and hereby is revoked.
