ERRATA.—In the Second Schedule to the Proclamation, dated the 3rd day of April, 1929, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 23, of the 4th day of the same month, at page 826, proclaiming land as a road and road closed in Blocks II, III, VII, and VIII, Mangamuka Survey District, Hokianga County, read “Omahuta 3c No. 1 Block” in lieu of “Omahutu 3c No. 1 Block,” in the description of the forty-third to the forty-eighth areas, inclusive.

In the New Zealand Gazette, No. 25, of the 11th April, 1929, page 986, publicly notifying certain alterations made in the scale of charges in force on the New Zealand Government Railways open for traffic, the paragraphs under the heading Port Chalmers Wharves, relating to rates and charges for use of the wharves, were inserted in error.

Alteration of Boundaries of Otatau River District, County of Wallace.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the River Boards Act, 1908, as amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Otatau River District shall be altered so as to include in the said district the area of land described in the First Schedule hereto; and do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said river district, with such alteration as herein provided for, shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto:

And I do also proclaim and declare that the Otatau River District, as hereinbefore altered, shall be divided into four subdivisions, to be called respectively the Otatau Town District Subdivision, the Waikouro Subdivision, the Scott’s Gap Subdivision, and the Bayswater Subdivision; the boundaries whereof shall be those described in the Third Schedule hereto; that the number of members who are to constitute the Board of the said district shall be eight; and that two members shall be elected for each of the said four subdivisions:

And I do also proclaim and declare that an election shall be held for the purpose of electing two members for each of the said four subdivisions of the said district; that Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, shall be the day, and the Town Hall, Otatau, shall be the place, for holding such election; and that John Fisher, of Otatau, shall be the person to prepare the roll of electors and Returning Officer for the purpose of such election.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN THE OTATAU RIVER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Aparima or Jacobs River, in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 5 on plan 238, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill; thence to and along that boundary to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 5; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 5, 6, 7, and 8 to the northernmost corner of Lot 9 on the said plan 238; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 9 aforesaid to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 2376, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of that road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 1; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 to the easternmost corner of Lot 2 on plan 2376 aforesaid; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid and the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 66B and 66A on plan 474 (red), deposited as aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 66A; thence along the southern boundaries of the said Lot 66A and Lot 20 on plan 239, deposited as aforesaid, to the Aparima or Jacobs River; thence along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of that river, and up the middle of the said river to the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE OTATAU RIVER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 39, Block IV, Aparima Hundred; thence easterly along the road forming the northern boundary of Sections 39 and 40, Block IV aforesaid, to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 40 aforesaid; thence southerly along that road to the road forming the northern boundary of Lot 35 on plan 172c, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Invercargill; thence easterly along that road and the northern boundary of Lot 24, plan 172c aforesaid, to a public road; thence southerly along that road to the northern boundary of Section 30B, Block III, Aparima Hundred; thence
