DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore carried on under the name of “Brown and McConnell,” as Farmers, by CHARLES BROWN, of Maractotara, Farmer, and ABRAHAM McCONNELL, of Maraetotara, Farmer, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 17th day of April, 1928. The said Charles Brown will continue to carry on the said business, and will pay and discharge all accounts of the late Partnership, and will receive and give effectual receipts for all moneys owing to the said late Partnership. Dated this 9th day of April, 1919.

COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE 23RD DAY OF MARCH, 1919.

Ruamahanga River Bridge Loan (1928) of £4,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairarapa South County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the repayment instalments and other charges on the Wairarapa South County Council Ruamahanga River Bridge Loan (1928) of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa South County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying its share of the cost of construction in reinforced concrete of the Ruamahanga River Bridge, at Kokotau, the said Wairarapa South County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-three one-thousandths (53/1,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Wairarapa South, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of May, 1911, at page 1752; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

I, Edwin Thomas Beaven, Clerk of the Wairarapa South County Council, hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Wairarapa South County Council on the 23rd day of March, 1929.

BOROUGH OF HAMILTON.

WATERWORKS LOAN, 1928, £40,670.

THE following resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council, held on the 10th day of April, 1929, striking a security rate for the above loan:—
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves that, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £40,670, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and any other powers thereunto it enabling, to be expended—
For the erection of a pumping-station and intake, including the cost of a crane and all necessary materials and labour .. .. .. £ 1,500
For the purchase and erection of plant to treat the water for bacteria and sediment, including mixing and control house, mixing chamber, retention tank and sludge pump, and all necessary materials and labour .. .. .. 2,250
For the purchase and erection of four Candy filters, including the cost of all necessary materials, labour, and the cost of rearranging the filters already in use .. .. .. 2,750
For reticulation improvements covering all necessary materials and labour involved in laying—
(a) 10-inch main from the Reservoir to the Frankton Tower .. .. .. £ 1,850
(b) 9-inch main along Clarence Street, Bridge Street, and Victoria Street from Bridge Street to Hood Street .. .. .. 2,830
(c) 8-inch main along part of Bridge Street and part of Grey Street from Bridge Street to Clyde Street .. .. .. 1,050
(d) 8-inch main along Tainui Street and Ward Street .. .. .. 1,680
(e) 6-inch main along Queen’s Avenue and Killarney Road .. .. .. 760

For the construction and connecting up with the water system of a high-level reservoir on Lot 2 of 22A, Town of Hamilton West, including the cost of all necessary labour and materials, preliminary engineering expenses, and the costs of raising the loan .. .. .. 25,000

The said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny in the pound (⅓d. in the £) on the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
