NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the Liquidator’s office, 12 Panama Street, Wellington, on Friday, 26th April, 1929, at 3 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company shall be disposed of.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Takapuna Borough Destructor Loan (1929) of £2,150, authorized to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of providing a refuse-destructor, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five one-hundredths of a penny (5/100d.) in the pound, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Takapuna, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution of the Takapuna Borough Council, passed at a meeting of the Council on the 21st day of March, 1929.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME.

To whom it may concern.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that Tom Goodall Moon formerly of Plymouth, England, now of Number 12 Alexandra Street, Richmond, Christchurch, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Secretary, has this day changed his name to and assumed the surname of “Clarkson,” and that he will henceforth be known as “Tom Goodall Clarkson” and not as “Tom Goodall Moon.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of The Bryndwr Sauce, Pickle, and Jam Company, Limited.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company held at the registered office of the company on 18th March, 1929, the following resolution was passed in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, viz. :—

“That, in consideration of the unsatisfactory financial position of the company and pursuant to clause 220 (c) of the Companies Act the company go into voluntary liquidation; and that James Hutchins, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is appointed Liquidator.”

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 28th day of March, 1929, the shareholders in the Empire Manufacturing Company, Limited, unanimously passed the following resolution :—

Resolved and minuted as a special resolution under section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. J. D. G. Tripe, F. J. Johns, and W. A. D. Tripe, be appointed Liquidators at a fee of £150.”
