Defining the Middle-line of a Portion of the Waikokopu-Gisborne Section of the Gisborne to Napier Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a portion of the Waikokopu-Gisborne Section of the Gisborne to Napier Railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point marked 23 miles 0·49 chains, being approximately 15 chains west of the point of the termination of the portion of the Wairoa to Waikokopu Branch of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway shown on P.W.D. 48369, and described in a Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 44, of the 5th day of May, 1920, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 3 miles 39·5 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Sections 9, 12, and 8, and Waikokopu 3c Block, Block X, Nuhaka Survey District; Sections 66, 65, 64, 63, 62, 61, 60, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, and 54 of Opoutama Native Reserve; Crown land; Sections 21 and 19, Blocks 1, 10, 3, and 4, Kopuawhara Crown Grant District, Block III, Mahanga Survey District; and Block 6, Kapuawhara Crown Grant District, Block 1, Mahanga Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said Block 6, Kopuawhara Crown Grant District, marked 26 miles 40 chains; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the Hawke’s Bay Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75009, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of April, 1929.

Amending Apportionment of Representation on the Waitemata Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of April, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke, as from the dates of the next general elections of the representatives of the constituent districts on the Waitemata Electric-power Board, the Orders in Council dated the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, respectively, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, Nos. 80 and 77, of the fourth December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and eighteenth November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, respectively, fixing the apportionment of representation on the Waitemata Electric-power Board, and doth hereby add the New Lynn Town District to the constituent districts, and doth hereby determine that, as from the dates of the next general elections of the representatives of the constituent districts other than the New Lynn Town District, and as from the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, in the case of the New Lynn Town District, the number of representatives of each constituent district on the Waitemata Electric-power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district, and doth further determine that the constituent districts which are bracketed together in the First Column of the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and that the local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the First Column of the Schedule hereto by the letter (p) shall be the “principal” local authority of the combined district in which that constituent district is situated, and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the day on which shall be held the first election of the representative of the constituent district of New Lynn Town District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a road.
