Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Situate in Section 2, Block III, Rahu Survey District, and Section 2, Block XV, Burnett Survey District; commencing at a point in Ranger’s Creek near the south-west corner of the said Section 2, Block III, Rahu Survey District, and extending thence in an easterly direction through the said Section 2, Block III, a distance of 5⅓ chains; thence northerly 5 chains; thence easterly, 10 chains; thence northerly, 30 chains; thence easterly, 5 chains; thence northerly, 15 chains; thence easterly, 8 chains; and terminating in Section 2, Block XV, Burnett Survey District.

Length and intended course of race: 78½ chains in a north-easterly direction through Section 2, Block III, Rahu Survey District, and Section 2, Block XV, Burnett Survey District.

Point of intake: One, Ranger’s Creek as above.
Estimated cost of construction: Already constructed.
Estimated time of construction: Already constructed.
Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. by 2½ ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: Ten.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Feeding, or driving machinery.
Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.

BOROUGH OF RANGIORA.

POLL ON PROPOSAL THAT THE SYSTEM OF RATING ON THE UNIMPROVED VALUE BE RESCINDED.

IN pursuance of section 42 of the Rating Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Rangiora taken on the 25th day of March, 1929, on a proposal that the adoption of the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be rescinded in the Borough of Rangiora the number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 158 and the number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 302. I therefore declare that the proposal was not carried.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, carrying on business as farmers at St. Andrews under the style or firm of “Scannell Bros.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the date hereof. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by JOSEPH SCANNELL, who will continue to carry on the said business under his own name.
