SCHEDULE.

PROPOSED ALTERATION OF BOUNDARIES.—OAONUI IRRIGATION
DISTRICT.—COUNTY OF EGMONT.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 73,
Block IX, Opunake Survey District; then along the
north-eastern boundary of Section 73 aforesaid to Namu
Road; then south-westerly along Namu Road to the south-
western boundary of Section 60, Block IX, Opunake Survey
District; then north-westerly along that boundary to the
south-eastern boundary of Section 58; then along that
boundary to a public road; then across that road and along
its south-western side of the south-eastern boundary of Section
50, Block IX aforesaid; then along that boundary to the
southernmost corner of said Section 50, and along the south-
western boundary of Section 50 to the boundary of the Oaonui
Irrigation District; then north-easterly generally along the
boundary of that district to the northernmost corner of Section
73, Block IX, Opunake Survey District, the place of com-
mencement. Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District,
being Section 53, Block IX, Opunake Survey District, bounded
on the south-west, north-west, and north-east by the Oaonui
Irrigation District, and on the south-east by Sections 75 and
74, Block IX, Opunake Survey District.

Special Order made by the Waipawa County Council altering
Riding Boundaries and Adjusting Representation.

Wellington, 28th March, 1929.

THE following special order made by the Waipawa County
Council is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Counties Act, 1920.

Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by
section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921–22, I hereby
fix the 1st day of April, 1929, as the date on and after which
such special order shall take effect.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution (intended to take effect as a Special Order) altering
the Riding Boundaries and adjusting Representation in the
Council.

Merging of Waipawa and Hampden Ridings into One
Riding.

Merging of Ruataniwha and Onga Ridings into One
Riding.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the
Counties Act, 1920, the Waipawa County Council resolves
by way of special order, as follows:—

  1. The present division of the County of Waipawa into
    six ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said county
    shall be divided into four ridings, to be called respectively
    Waipawa Riding, Onga Riding, Clinton Riding, and Takapau
    Riding, which said ridings are respectively described in the
    Schedule hereto.
  2. The said Waipawa County Council shall consist of six
    members, who shall be elected as follows:—
    (a) The electors of the Waipawa Riding and the Onga
    Riding shall each elect two Councillors:
    (b) The electors of the Clinton Riding and the Takapau
    Riding shall each elect one Councillor:
  3. The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after
    the 1st day of April, 1929.

SCHEDULE.

Waipawa Riding.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, situated
in the Waipawa County, commencing at a point where the
Makororo River meets the Hawke’s Bay County boundary.
Bounded towards the north by the Hawke’s Bay County
boundary and the Mangamauka Stream; then towards
the north-west by the said Hawke’s Bay County boundary
and the Poporangi Stream; again towards the north by the
Hawke’s Bay County boundary to the Mangaonuku River;
and towards the north-east by the Hawke’s Bay County
boundary from the Mangaonuku River to the north-western
corner of the Patangata County; then toward the east
generally by Patangata County and the Borough of Waipawa
to the middle of the Waipawa River; then towards the
south-west generally by the middle of the said Waipawa
River to its confluence with the Makaroro River; then
towards the west by the said Makaroro River to the point
of commencement.

Onga Riding.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, situated
in the Waipawa County, commencing at a point on the summit
of the Ruahine Range, being the south-western corner of the
Hawke’s Bay County. Bounded towards the north-east
generally by the Hawke’s Bay County boundary to the
Makaroro River; then by that river to its confluence with
the Waipawa River; then by the middle of the Waipawa
River to the south-western boundary of the Waipawa
Borough; then by the south-western and south-eastern
boundaries of the said borough to the Patangata County bound-
ary; then by the Patangata County western boundary in a
southerly direction to its intersection with the Waipukurau
County boundary in the Tuki Tuki River; then towards
the south by the said Waipukurau County boundary to the
confluence of the Tuki Tuki and Makaretu Rivers and by the
middle of the said Tuki Tuki River to the western boundary
produced of Section 3, Block V, Makaretu Survey District;
then by that boundary and northern boundary of Section 2
of the said Block V and by a line running due west to the
summit of the Ruahine Range; then towards the west
by the summit of the Ruahine Range to the point of com-
mencement.

Clinton Riding.

Bounded towards the north generally by the Onga Riding
hereinbefore described from the summit of the Ruahine
Range to a point in the middle of the Tuki Tuki River in line
with the western boundary of road intersecting Block 198,
Ruataniwha Crown Grant District; then towards the
south-east generally by that line across the Tuki Tuki River,
and by the road intersecting Blocks Nos. 198, 46, 263, 62,
and 264 to the Tukipo River; then across that river, and
by the road intersecting Blocks Nos. 183, 188, 184, 191, and
60 to its junction with the road intersecting Blocks 192 and
182; then by the road intersecting Block No. 60 in a
southerly direction to the Makaretu River; then towards
the south generally by the Makaretu River to its source;
then by a right line running due west to the summit of the
Ruahine Range; and then towards the west generally by
the summit of the Ruahine Range to the place of commence-
ment.

Takapau Riding.

Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Onga
Riding hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by
the Waipukurau County; towards the south-west generally
by the Dannevirke County; and towards the north-west
by the Clinton Riding hereinbefore described.

special order made by the Waipawa County Council at a
special meeting of the said Council held on the 17th day of
September, 1928, and confirmed at a subsequent special
meeting of the said Council held on the 16th day of October,

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it
is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land
shown upon the plan of Town of Casanova, affecting part of
Section 12, Block I, Oamaru Survey District, in the Land
District of Otago, and prepared by John Henry Treseder,
Registered Surveyor, is intended to be used wholly for resi-
