Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Onairo, affecting part of Wahapakapaka 4B 2 Block, situated in Block III, Waitara Survey District, in the Land District of Taranaki, and prepared by Messrs. Lysons and Wilson, Registered Surveyors, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the road shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.:
Now, therefore, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such road of a width of 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Tomba ko Nandi Approach: Amendments to Charts.
(1) Rock marked by buoy—
Position: At a distance of 5·42 miles 109° from Vatu mbulo Islet, situated about 6 cables eastward of Malolo lailai. Lat. 17° 48′ S., long. 177° 19′ E. (approx.).
Depth: 2½ fathoms (4m1), coral.
Remarks: This rock, which is named “Turtle Rk.”, is marked by a black and white horizontally striped buoy surmounted by a St. Andrew’s cross.
(2) Beacon—
Position: On Curacoa rock and at a distance of 4·55 miles 091° from Vatu mbulo Islet.
Details: The symbol for a beacon is to be inserted on chart No. 845 in the above position and the danger line is to be extended slightly to the south-westward to include it.
(3) Swept channel—
Position: Southern end, at a distance of 4·4 miles 145° from Vatu mbulo Islet.
Details: A swept channel, half a mile in width, extends in an 040° direction for a distance of 6·4 miles from the position given above. The channel is to be indicated on the chart by pecked lines drawn from positions 2½ cables north-westward and south-eastward of the above position, respectively, and the following note is to be inserted between them:—
“Channel swept to 41 ft. at M.L.W.S. (1928).”

Open Season for Deer-shooting, Tauranga Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Philip Aldborough de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of March, 1929, to the 1st day of April, 1929 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Tauranga Acclimatization District, described in the First Schedule hereto, for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., fallow deer, bucks, and does, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

LICENSES to take or kill fallow-deer bucks and does may be issued by the Postmaster at Tauranga on payment of a license fee of £1 1s., in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and regulations thereunder and this notification: Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than two fallow-deer bucks and one doe. Ball cartridge only to be used; provided that no metal-patched or metal-cased bullets shall be used for killing such deer.

No fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Nothing in any license to take or kill fallow-deer bucks and does shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill fallow-deer bucks or does on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any land excepted from the operation of the notification declaring an open season for the district.

Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District commencing at a point on the sea-coast due north of Trig. Station J1, in Block IV, Waihi South Survey District, proceeding thence due south to a point due east of Trig. Station Otane Wainuku; thence by a right line running due west to Trig. Station Otane Wainuku, aforesaid, and passing through that station to its intersection with a line running between Trig. Stations Pu-whenua and Weraiti; thence by a right line to Trig. Station Weraiti; thence by a right line to Waranunanu; thence north-westerly along the western boundary of Whakamarama No. 2 to Trig. Station Mimiohanga; thence generally north-westerly along the summit of the range and passing through Te Ariariparitupu, Pukupenga Ngatamahinerua, and on to its intersection with the confiscation boundary; thence south-westerly along the confiscation boundary to Te Aroha Trig.
