Revoking the Setting-apart of National-endowment Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers under Ordinary Tenures, in the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of November, then instant, setting apart national-endowment lands for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.β€”NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.

SECTION 33, Block X, Takahue Survey District: Area, 141 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of March, 1929.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the fourteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-third day of January, then instant, setting apart settlement lands for selection by discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the lands in the Schedule hereto.

SECTION 3s, Te Pua Settlement, Omapere Survey District: Area, 170 acres 0 roods 19 perches.

Altering Boundaries of Upper Mangapiko Drainage District, County of Waipa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1929.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, a majority of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Waipa, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, praying that the land comprised in the said area be included in the Upper Mangapiko Drainage District as constituted under the provisions of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of such drainage district in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in section three of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the boundaries of the said Upper Mangapiko Drainage District by including in such district the area of land described in the said petition and in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the said drainage district, with such alteration as herein provided for, shall be those described on the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN UPPER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Lots 10 and 11, Reynolds Settlement, Block XIII, Cambridge Survey District, and being the land comprised in Certificates of Title, Vols. 276/111 and 266/64, in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Auckland.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

UPPER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 313, Puniu Parish; thence along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of that allotment and the northern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 346, Puniu Parish, to the Te Awamutu-Cambridge Road; thence across that road and north-easterly along its south-eastern boundary to the north-western corner of Subdivision 2 of Allotment 225, Pukekura Parish, as shown on Plan 3109, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence along the northern boundary of that subdivision and the northern and eastern boundaries of Subdivision 1 on Plan 6698, deposited as aforesaid, to the northern boundary of Lot 11, Reynolds Settlement; thence along the northern boundaries of Lots 11 and 10, Reynolds Settlement, and the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 10 to a public road; thence across that road and south-westerly along its southern side to the western side of the road forming the eastern boundary of Subdivision E 1 of Allotment 225, Pukekura Parish; thence southerly along the western side of that road to the north-eastern boundary of Puahue No. 2, Section 1; thence along the north-eastern boundary of the said section to its north-western corner; thence along the north-western boundaries of Puahue No. 2 Section 1, No. 2 Section 9, and No. 2 Section 10 Blocks to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along the northern boundary of Puahue No. 2, Section 13, to a public road; thence along the northern side of that road to its intersection with the road forming the south-western boundary of Allotment 173, Puniu Parish; thence north-westerly along the road forming the south-western boundaries of Allotments 173, 172, 171, 170, 174, 175, 183, 184, 185, 186, Puniu Parish, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence northerly along the road forming the western boundary of Allotments 186, 187, 188, 189, 190, 339, 338, 352, 317, 317A, 316, 315, 314, and 313, Puniu Parish, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned allotment, the point of commencement.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, under the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, the Honourable Sir Charles Perrin Skerrett, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, was appointed a member of the First and Second Divisions of the Court of Appeal:

And whereas it has become necessary to revoke his appointment as a member of the Second Division of the Court of Appeal sitting on the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and to appoint another Judge in his place:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the
