A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of
a new certificate of title in the name of ELIZABETH
BROWN, of Waikouaiti, Half-caste, for 8 acres, more or less,
situated in the Hawksbury District, being Section 58, Block I,
on the public map of the said district, and being the whole of
the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title Vol. 86,
folio 86, Otago Registry, and evidence having been lodged of
the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby give notice
that it is my intention to issue such new certificate of title at
the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette
containing this notice.

day of February, 1929.

to PATRICK TOOMEY, of Waikouaiti, Farmer, registered
in the Lard Registry Office at Dunedin as No. 4319, and
evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said lease, I
hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue such
provisional memorandum of lease at the expiration of fourteen
days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Te Aroha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,750, authorized to
be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the balance of the
Council’s share of the cost of constructing the Te Aroha
traffic-bridge, the said Te Aroha Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon
the rateable annual value of the rateable property of the
Borough of Te Aroha, and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
