Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease
to Discharged Soldiers, under Ordinary Tenures, in the
Gisborne Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under ordinary tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 193, Waiotahi Parish: Area, 28 acres 3 roods.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of February, 1929.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 51 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block XII, Tautuku Survey District: Bounded towards the west and north generally by other part of Section 4, 277·6 links, 611·7 links, 1484·1 links, 544·1 links, 663·4 links, 348·3 links, 538·1 links, 377·7 links; towards the east generally by other part of Section 2, 1892·9 links and 587·4 links; towards the south and east generally by Section 40, 383·3 links, 1224·4 links, 1000 links; towards the south and west generally by other part of Section 3, 100 links, 1070·9 links, 2134·4 links, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 264, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Maungatautari 6b 3c Block, Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the twentieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of section forty-nine of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act;
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned in terms of section fifteen of Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-nine of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 11 acres 1 rood 37 perches.
Portion of Maungatautari 6b 3c Block, situated in Block XII, Puniu Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1625, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2290, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of February, 1929.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of March, then instant, setting apart Crown lands for selection by discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 7, Block V, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District: Area, 354 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of February, 1929.

Revoking the Reservation over Part of a Scenic Reserve in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the twentieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of that month, certain land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District was declared to be a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the land so set apart) is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
