Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
PAEROA SURVEY DISTRICT.
ROTOMAHANA-PAREKARANGI 3A 3B 4B 2A Block: Approximate area, 34 acres 1 rood 2 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of January, 1929.

Amending Description of Hamilton Domain, Auckland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1928.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and gazetted on the fifteenth day of that month (hereinafter referred to as “the said Order in Council”) a Domain Board was appointed to have control of the Hamilton Domain:
And whereas an error was made in the description of the said domain in the Schedule to the said Order in Council by the omission therefrom of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and it is expedient that this error should be rectified:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby amend the Schedule to the said Order in Council by adding thereto the lands described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 19·7 perches, more or less, being Allotments 1A, 2A, 3A, and part 4A, Hamilton West Town Belt. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Allotments 1, 2, 3, and part 4, Domain Reserve, Hamilton West Town Belt, 1970·0 and 293·3 links; towards the south-east by Mill Street, 50·3 links; towards the south-west generally by Seddon Road, 286·3 and 1944·9 links; towards the west by the Waitawhiriwhiri Stream.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood 33·3 perches, more or less, being part of Allotments 4A and 5A, Hamilton West Town Belt. Bounded towards the north-east by parts of Allotments 4 and 5, Domain Reserve, Hamilton West Town Belt, 919·52 links; towards the south-east by part of Allotment 5A aforesaid, 50 links; towards the south-west by Seddon Road, 913·56 links; towards the north-west by Mill Street, 50·3 links.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 32·5 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 7A, Hamilton West Town Belt. Bounded towards the north-east by part of Allotment 7, Domain Reserve, Hamilton West Town Belt, 405·98 links; towards the south-east by Rosstrevor Street, 50 links; towards the south-west by Seddon Road, 406·02 links; towards the north-west by part of Allotment 7A, Hamilton West Town Belt, 50 links.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/178A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

WHEREAS by subsection two of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916, it is enacted, inter alia, that the Governor-General may by Order in Council appoint for each or any district constituted under the Maori Councils Act, 1900, a council consisting of an official member as provided by section eight thereof, and seven other Maori members:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by subsection two of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto to be the Maori Council for the Maori Council District of Mahunui.
