Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1095, set apart by section sixty-one of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1921–22, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, being Section 1253, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1095, situated in Block VII, Otira Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/98/42, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of January, 1929.

Declaring National-endowment Land in the Otago Mining District, Southland Land District, open for Disposal on Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and fifty-four of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled, to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authority conferred upon me by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Tuesday, the nineteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, for disposal on renewable lease, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—
NATIONAL-ENDOWMENT LAND.
Wallace County — Jacobs River Hundred. — Otago Mining District.
SECTION 22, Block XVII: Area, 242 acres 1 rood. Capital value, £400. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £10.
Situated two miles and a half from Colac Railway-station and school, and four miles from Hekeia Dairy Factory. All metalled roads.
Altitude from 30 ft. to 350 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land. Originally all bush, worked out by the sawmill, but now partly felled and grassed. Mostly good soil on sandstone and papa formation. Well watered by creeks. Suitable for dairying when further improved.
The improvements included in the capital value of the land comprise cottage, cow-shed, and fencing.
Subject to any existing water or tramway rights.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of December, 1928.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1927, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands classified as town lands and being available for disposal by way of sale under section one hundred and thirty of the Land Act, 1924, to be subject to the provisions of the said section ten.
