DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between SYDNEY JAMES MCCULLOUGH and JOSEPH ALLDRED, carrying on business as Agents at Dunedin, under the style or firm name of “The Mercantile Agency Company,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of December, 1928.

All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Joseph Alldred at the offices of the firm, Moray Place, Dunedin.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand,
Canterbury District.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter of Coes LIMITED.

THE creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 11th day of February, 1929, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any) to Arthur William Watters, the Official Liquidator of the said company, at the Government Buildings, Christchurch; and if so required by notice in writing by the said Official Liquidator are, by their solicitors, to come in and prove their said debts or claims at the Registrar’s office in the Supreme Court House, Christchurch, at such time as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution before such debts are proved. Monday, the 25th day of February, 1929, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Registrar’s office, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between FRANK RICHARD GARTON, HAROLD JASON FAWCETT, and JOHN NEWTON WALKER, carrying on business as Wholesale and Retail Fruit-merchants at Hastings under the style or firm of “Garton and Co.,” has been dissolved as from the 30th day of November, 1928, so far as concerns the said John Newton Walker, who retires from the said firm. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Frank Richard Garton and Harold Jason Fawcett, who will continue to carry on the said business in partnership under the above firm name.

MARORO SHIPPING COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the MARORO SHIPPING COMPANY, LIMITED, held at Gisborne on the 17th day of December, 1928, the following extraordinary resolution was carried :—

“That the Maroro Shipping Company, being by reason of its loss of assets unable to carry on, and it being proved to the satisfaction of the meeting that by reason of its liabilities the company cannot continue its business, do go into liquidation, and that LEONARD CLARE be appointed Liquidator of the Company.

WELLINGTON CITY CORPORATION.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Northland Road, in the City of Wellington—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk, at his said office.

Area: 0·31 perches. Being part of Lot 34, D.P. 1087; coloured red.

Situated in the City of Wellington.

THE WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK X, KARIOI SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF A GRAVEL RESERVE.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other Act or Acts thereunto enabling, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a gravel reserve: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Waimarino County Council at Raetihi, and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land or to the execution of the proposed works, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Waimarino County Council, at Raetihi.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of piece of land required to be taken: 2 roods 19·8 perches. Being that part of Rangiwaea 4r 14b 1b 4, situated in Block X, Karioi Survey District, in the Wellington Land District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked or dated the 21st day of December, 1928, deposited in the office of the Waimarino County Council, at Raetihi, and thereon coloured pink.
