HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Hutt County Epuni Hamlet Water-supply Loan of £1,700, 1928, authorized

to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a water-supply within the No. 27 Special-rating District of the said county, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-one one-hundredths (41/100ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the No. 27 Special-rating District of the said county, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 31st March and 30th September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of No. 27 Special-rating District.

All that area of land in Blocks IX and XIV, Belmont Survey District, bordered red on the accompanying plan, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Back Waiwetu Road at the north-western corner of Section 34, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of the said Section 34 to its intersection with the western bank of the Waiwetu Stream; then generally in a northerly direction along the western bank of the said stream to its intersection with the northern boundary of part A1384, part Section 39; thence westerly in a straight line along the said boundary past the northern boundaries of D.P. 2730 and 3646 to its intersection with the boundary of the Lower Hutt Borough and the Hutt County; thence in a south-westerly direction along the said boundary to its intersection with the southern boundary of the Hutt County at the south-western corner of Lot 78, part Section 33, Block XIV, Belmont Survey District; thence easterly along the said southern boundary of the Hutt County to its intersection with Back Waiwetu Road, across the said road to its eastern side; thence north-easterly along the eastern boundary of the said road to the point of commencement.
