A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 5 acres 2 roods 29 perches.
Being portion of Section No. 21.
Situated in Block V, Waihou Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24814.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 73921, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of December, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a State forest; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fifth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken, 1,535 acres.
Being Rural Sections 11176, 11177, 33216, 33217, 34679, and parts Rural Sections 11175, 33218, 34757, 37080.
Situated in Blocks III and IV, Rolleston, and XV and XVI, Mairaki Survey Districts (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 2072.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 74076, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion this 12th day of December, 1928.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
PAEROA East 4B 1B 3C 1 Block, Paeroa Survey District: Approximate area, 44 acres 2 roods 9 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of December, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1928.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that on and after the date of the gazetting of this Order in Council the public highway mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be a main highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Main Highways Act, 1922.
SCHEDULE.
ONGAHA-MANGATORO VALLEY: All that road or portion of road in the Dannevirke County commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 2, Block XVI, Tahoraitc Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction and terminating at the northern boundary of the Pahiatua County, being a distance of 3 miles 20 chains, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked P.W.D. 71609, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

County of Mackenzie declared a Special District under the Auctioneers Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1928.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section nine of the Auctioneers Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the area comprised in the County of Mackenzie (being a part of the Dominion which is sparsely populated) shall be a special district for the purposes of the said Act, and shall be known by the name of the Mackenzie District; and it is hereby declared that the sum of ten pounds (£10) shall be the amount of auctioneer’s license fee to be paid in the said special district; and that the person from time to time holding the position of County Clerk, Mackenzie County Council, shall be the person to grant auctioneer’s licenses for the said special district.
