In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter
of E. M. LANGLEY AND COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up
of the above-named company by the Supreme Court
was, on the 5th day of December, 1928, presented to Sir
Charles Perrin Skerrett, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, by the Commercial Agency, Limited, assignees of the
Distributing Agency, Limited (in liquidation), a creditor of
the said company; and the said petition is directed to be
heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 22nd day of
December, 1928, at the Supreme Court House, WELLINGTON,
at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making
of an order for the winding-up of the said company under
the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the
said company requiring the same, by the undersigned on
payment of the regulated charge for the same.

PRESTON BILLING, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter
of PRESTON BILLING, LTD., in Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 8th day of December,
1928, pursuant to section 168 of the Companies Act,
1908, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed
by an entry in the minute-book of the company, and signed by
the requisite number and majority of shareholders holding
the requisite value of shares in the capital of the company :—

“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders of PRESTON BILLING, LTD., that the company cannot,
by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it
is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the
company be wound up voluntarily, and that ALEXANDER
JOHN McLENNAN, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be
appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

I, JOHN LAWRENCE GREGORY, heretofore called
and known by the name of “John Lawrence,” of
Wellington, Machinist, hereby give notice that I have assumed, and intend henceforth upon all occasions and at all
times to sign and use and be called and known by the name
of “John Lawrence Gregory” in lieu of and in substitution
for my present name of “John Lawrence,” and that such
change or assumption of name is formally declared and
evidenced by deed poll under my hand dated the 22nd day
of November, 1928, and enrolled in the office at Wellington
of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

Friday the 7th day of December, 1927.

UPON the petition of R. WILSON AND CO., LIMITED, a
company duly incorporated under the provisions of
the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office at
Numbers 18 and 20 Bond Street, Dunedin, and carrying on
business there and elsewhere in New Zealand as General
Merchants, a creditor of the above-named company, on the
19th day of November, 1928, preferred unto a Judge of the
Supreme Court, and upon hearing Mr. M. J. Gresson of counsel
for the petitioner, and Mr. A. T. Donnelly of counsel for the
debenture-holders, and upon reading the said petition, an
affidavit verifying the said petition of Hercules Henderson,
filed in this Honourable Court on the 21st day of November,
1928, an affidavit of Gerald Belmont Goodenough, filed in
this Honourable Court on the 19th day of November, 1928,
an affidavit of Alan Arthur Gilmour Reed, filed in this
Honourable Court on the 5th day of December, 1928, the
New Zealand Gazette of the 29th day of November, 1928,
the Lyttelton Times newspaper of the 26th day of November,
1928, and the Press newspaper of the 24th day of November,
1928, which contain an advertisement of the said petition,
this Court doth order the above-named the Marlborough
Timber Company, Limited, to be wound up by this Court
under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908: And,
further, that the petitioner’s costs and disbursements be taxed
by the Registrar and allowed on a party and party basis.
