THE DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR A LOAN OF £90,000.

Wednesday, the 28th Day of November, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Amendment Act, 1925, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £90,000, being the final instalment of a loan of £250,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Act, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing (1/4d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirtieth day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on the above-mentioned date.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between GORDON RICHARD KENT and FREDERICK SLEIGH ROBERTS KENT under the firm or style of "Gordon R. Kent and Co." has been dissolved by mutual consent as at the first (1st) day of December, 1928.

The Partnership business will hereafter be carried on under the same name by Gordon Richard Kent, who will pay all moneys owing by the said firm and to whom all moneys owing to the firm are to be paid.

GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Greymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on the Greymouth Borough Unemployment Relief Loan of £3,000 (1928), authorized to be raised by the Greymouth Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the public works proposed to be undertaken by the Council for the relief of unemployment, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-one ninety-eighths (31/98ths) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Greymouth, comprising the whole of the Borough of Greymouth, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the lst day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the GREVILLE HARBOUR MAHOGANY COMPANY, LIMITED, a private company incorporated under the above Act.

NOTICE is hereby given that by special resolution of the shareholders in general meeting, held at Wellington on 5th December, 1928, the above company went into voluntary liquidation, and appointed the undersigned Liquidators of the company for the purpose of such winding-up.

Creditors are requested to lodge their claims against the company with us on or before 31st December, 1928.

NEW LYNN TOWN BOARD.

THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908, AND THE TOWN BOARDS ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the New Lynn Town Board intends to take, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purposes of a sewer all that piece of land, containing 16.9 perches and being part of Section 7, Block IV, Hetana Hamlet, in the Town District of New Lynn.

All persons affected by the said works or the taking of the said land are hereby required, within forty days of the first publication of this notice, to send, in writing, to the New Lynn Town Board at its office in New Lynn, any well-grounded objections they have to the taking of the said land or to the said works.

A plan (coloured red) of the land to be taken has been deposited and may be inspected (without fee) during ordinary office hours at the offices of the New Lynn Town Board, Great North Road, New Lynn.
