A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the River Boards Act, 1908, as amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, as on and from the date hereof, that part of the said Dominion described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby constituted a district under the said Act, and shall be known by the name of the Kaipara River District; and that the number of members who are to constitute the Board of the said district shall be five. And I do also proclaim and declare that Richard Pengelly, of Woodhill, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election of five members of the aforesaid Board; that Wednesday, the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, shall be the day, and the Woodhill Public Hall shall be the polling-place, for holding such first election; and that Wednesday, the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, at seven-thirty o’clock in the afternoon, shall be the time, and the office of Messrs. Barnard and Dodd, Solicitors, Helensville, shall be the place, at which the first meeting of the members of the Board of the said Kaipara River District shall be held. And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the said Richard Pengelly shall be the person to make a roll of electors for the purpose of the aforesaid first election, in the manner prescribed by section eight of the said River Boards Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
KAIPARA RIVER DISTRICT.
All that area in North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 3, Ararimu Parish; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Ararimu Parish, to the north-eastern boundary of Section 49, Paremoremo Parish; thence south-easterly and southerly along that boundary and along the eastern boundary of Section 50, Paremoremo Parish, to the Kumeu River; thence westerly along the northern side of that river to the eastern boundary of Lot 15, Waikoukou No. 2 Block; thence to and along that boundary to a public road forming the southern boundary of Lots 15, 14, and 13, Waikoukou No. 2 Block aforesaid; thence westerly along that road to the road forming the eastern boundary of Lot 2; thence across that road and southerly along its western side to the Auckland–Helensville railway; thence westerly generally along the northern side of that railway to the intersection of the railway with a tributary of the Kaipara River, about 10 chains west of Riwti Railway-station; thence southerly along that creek to a point in line with the north-eastern corner of Uhurua 3B Block; thence to and across a public road to that corner; thence along the north-western boundaries of Uhurua 3B and 1A to the sand line; thence following the sand line to its intersection with the south-eastern boundary of Kopironui B 2E 2; thence along the south-eastern, south-western, and north-western boundaries of that block to its intersection with the sand line on the north-western boundary; thence following the sand line through Kopironui B 2E 2, B 2F 1, and B 2D 2, Te Kiti B, Pukekaurere 2, 1, and 4 Blocks, and Lots 4, 3, 9, and 7, Paeroa Block, to the Kaituna Stream; thence down that stream to the eastern side of the Auckland–Helensville railway, and along the eastern side of that railway to the Kaipara River; thence across that river and up its right bank to a public road, and along that road to its intersection with the Mangakura Valley Road; thence southerly along a right line to the road at the north-eastern corner of Waipapa No. 1 Block; thence southerly along that road to the northern boundary of Pukekauwere No. 1 Block; thence along the northern boundaries of that block, the western boundaries of Pukeatua Nos. 1A and 1B to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned block; thence along the northern boundaries of Pukeatua Nos. 1B, 1C, and 1D to the Wharauroa River; thence down that river to the northern boundary of Lot 8, Waikoukou No. 2 Block; thence along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Lot 8; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 8 aforesaid, and the south-western boundary of Lot 1, Waikoukou No. 2, to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 1; thence northerly generally along the road forming the western boundaries of part Waikoukou No. 2 and Lots 16, 17, 18, and 19, Waikoukou Nos. 2 and 1 Blocks, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence across a public road and along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Lot 20, Waikoukou No. 1, to the south-western boundary of Section 3, Ararimu Parish; thence along the south-western and north-western boundaries of that section to its northernmost corner, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of December, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders, marked on the outside “Tender for Kumeroa Domain,” will be received at the above office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 8th January, 1929, for a lease of the undermentioned reserve under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 1, Block V, Kumeroa Village (Kumeroa Domain), Woodville County: Area, 10 acres.
Land of light stony nature; whole section has been laid down in grass, but pasture has run out, and land requires breaking up and regrassing.
Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.

Term of lease, seven years, without right of renewal, and subject to termination by twelve months’ notice in the event of the land being required by the Government.

One half-year’s rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. (lease fee), must be enclosed with the tender.

No declaration is required. Residence is not compulsory. No compensation shall be claimed by the lessee, nor shall any be allowed by the Government, on account of any improvements effected by the lessee.
