Election of Members of Auckland Transport Board.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 6 (c) of the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928, I, Ethelbert Alfred Ransom, Minister of Public Works, do hereby publish certified copies of the resolutions passed in terms of the said section by the Onehunga Borough Council, the One Tree Hill, Mount Roskill, and Mount Wellington Road Boards, and the Ellerslie Town Board, nominating members of the Auckland Transport Board, and also attached thereto copies of the written consents of the respective members so nominated.

As more than two persons have been so nominated, I do hereby direct that at such time and in such manner as is directed by Order in Council published in the Gazette, an election be held by the members of the Local Bodies concerned—namely, the Onehunga Borough Council, the One Tree Hill, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, and Panmure Township Road Boards, and the Ellerslie Town Board, for the purpose of electing two members of the Auckland Transport Board.

MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD BOARD.

Special Meeting held on Tuesday, 13th November, 1928, at 7.15 o’clock p.m.

THE meeting was called for the purpose of nominating some person or persons for election for the office as member or members of the Auckland Transport Board.

It was resolved on the motion of Mr. E. Foote, seconded by Mr. A. A. Roberts, that the Chairman, Ernest Frederick Jones, Esquire, be the nominee of the Mount Roskill Road Board for the office as member of the Auckland Transport Board and that the Honourable the Minister of Public Works be advised accordingly.—Carried.
