referred to as “the said Warrant”), dated the third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and gazetted on the sixth day of the same month, declaring deer to cease to be imported game in the Waitaki Acclimatization District:

And do hereby declare that deer shall be deemed to be included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect to the said Acclimatization District:

And I do hereby further declare that this Warrant shall come into force on the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and shall expire on the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and that from and after the last-mentioned date deer shall cease to be included in the Second Schedule of the said Act with respect to the said district.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of December, 1928.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Parish of Waipareira, North Auckland Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a cemetery reserve, being a purpose within Class I of the Second Schedule of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:

And whereas it is expedient that such land should be appropriated for recreation purposes, being a purpose within Class III of the said Second Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the eleventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, do by this notification declare that the said land shall, from and after the fifteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, be appropriated for recreation purposes under Class III of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908; and I do hereby direct that this notification shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 37·9 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 112, Waipareira Parish, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on a public road, being the south-western corner of Lot 41 on D.P. 21508; on the north-east by the southern boundary of Lot 41 aforesaid and Lot 2 on D.P. 17236, 1374·2 links bearing 128° 27′; thence on the south-east by the western boundary of Lot 2 aforesaid, 617·1 links bearing 219° 3′; thence on the south-west by portion of Section 112, Waipareira Parish, and a further portion of Section 112 aforesaid, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1905, page 1455, 1427·6 links bearing 330° 6′ to the aforementioned public road; thence on the west by that public road, 100·0 links bearing 14° 5′ to the point of commencement: As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 2/551, and deposited in the Head Office Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged green. North Auckland plan 24969.

Opening Land in the Otago Land District for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Monday, the seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Bruce County.—Clarendon Survey District.

SECTION 61, Block VI: Area, 60 acres 1 rood 30 perches. Capital value, £16. Deposit on deferred payments, £1. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, 9s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 6s. 6d.

Situated four miles from the Town of Hull. Access partly metalled road, partly formed road. Twenty-five miles distant from Dunedin. Section practically all covered with bush of poor quality. Watered by creeks and springs. Soil fairly light on clay formation.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the ninth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

Town of Westport.—Leaver Settlement in Block III, Kawatiri Survey District.

SECTION 13: Area, 29 perches. Upset price, £30. Section 14: Area, 31 perches. Upset price, £20. Section 15: Area, 26 perches. Upset price, £30. Section 16: Area, 30 perches. Upset price, £25.

The sections are situated one mile from the Westport Post-office.

Section 13 has a frontage to Orawaiti Road; is all flat cleared land of a sandy nature, and is a good building-site. Section 14 has a frontage to Pakington Street, which is unformed. It is all flat and a fair building-site. Section 15 has frontages to Orawaiti Road and Domett Street, the last-named street being unformed. This is all flat land and is a good building-site. Section 16 has frontages to Domett and Pakington Streets, both of which are unformed. All flat land and a fair building-site.
