Weighted with £850, valuation for improvements consisting
of three-roomed cottage, cow-shed, piggeries, plantation,
50 acres stumped, and 232 chains of fencing. This amount
is payable in cash, or may remain on instalment mortgage
over a term of twenty years.

Situated three miles from Dannevirke Railway-station,
school, and dairy factory. Well watered by stream. About
40 acres of good flat land; balance easy undulating and hilly
country, mostly ploughable; suitable for mixed farming.
The section lies well to the sun, soil in parts light on clay
subsoil. A shelter belt of trees has been planted and are
growing well. The land will grow kale, turnips, and marigolds.

Woodville County.—Woodville Survey District.—Coyne Settlement.

Section 9, Block III: Area, 150 acres 0 roods 13 perches.
Capital value, £1,860. Half-yearly rent, £46 10s.

Improvements not included in the capital value, but which
must be paid for separately, are as follows: Six-roomed
house, cow-shed, tool-shed, plantation, and fencing (approx.
384 chains), totalling £845. This amount may be paid either
in cash, or by a deposit of £100, and the balance over a term
of twenty years on first mortgage over the property; interest
at the rate of 5½ per cent.

Exempt from payment of rent for one year, provided an
equivalent amount is spent in renewing the pasture.

Situated three miles from Maharahara Railway-station,
close to Maharahara School and dairy factory. Fairly level
country, mostly in worn-out pasture. Suitable for grazing.
Watered by wells and dam.

Declaring a Road-line intersecting Land in Hutt Valley Settlement, Wellington Land District, to be closed, and the Land comprised therein to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-
General, from which it appears that the road described
in the Schedule hereto is unformed and unused, and that the
said road intersects land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"),
and is not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one
hundred and six of the said Act, and of all other powers and
authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
close the road hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare
that the land comprised in the said road shall thereupon
become subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road to be closed:
39.6 perches.

Adjoining Lot 1, D.P. 7387, being part Section 15, Block XIV,
Belmont Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1607,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2281, and thereon coloured
green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 22nd day of November, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act,
1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke
a certain Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of August,
one thousand nine hundred and five, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first day of that month,
appointing trustees for the Porirua Public Cemetery, and in
lieu thereof do hereby appoint

Robert Westley Bothamley,
Frederick Brady,
Mark Dalton Vickers,
Ernest Windley, and
The Superintendent of the Porirua Mental Hospital,
ex officio.

to be trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of
the Porirua Public Cemetery as described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

PORIRUA PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing by
admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being part of Section
60, Porirua Registration District, and the whole of Section 1,
Block V, Belmont Survey District, being part of Section
57, Porirua Registration District: Bounded towards the
north-east by other part of Section 60, 695.11 links; towards
the south-east by a public road, 653.71 links; towards the
south-west by other part of Section 57, 611.46 links; and
towards the north-west by other parts of Sections 57 and 60,
163.3 links and 475 links, respectively: As the same is more
particularly delineated on plans numbered 187/56 and 134/64,
deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 26th day of November, 1928.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1927, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the
Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster
under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set
opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to
take and receive statutory declarations under the three-
hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act,
1927.

tioned person has been appointed a Ranger under and for
