TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, the Timaru Borough Council resolved as follows:—
- Consolidated No. 1 Renewal Loan, 1928, of £7,100.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the said loan of seven thousand one hundred pounds (£7,100), the Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventh (1/7th) of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the special-rating area, comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the Council hereby apportions and pledges such special rate for such special purpose.

That for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the said loan of eleven thousand one hundred and fifty pounds (£11,150), the Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth (1/8th) of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the special-rating area, comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of the loan, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the Council hereby apportions and pledges such special rate for such special purpose.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between CHARLES MONTY KENWARD and COLIN LEANDER CAMPBELL, both of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago and Dominion of New Zealand, Bakers, Pastrycooks, and Caterers, carrying on business as Bakers, Pastrycooks, and Caterers at premises situated at Number 51 Leith Street, Dunedin aforesaid, under the style of “Kenward and Campbell,” has been dissolved as from the 1st day of October, 1928, so far as concerns the said Charles Monty Kenward, who retires from the said firm. The business will be carried on by the said Colin Leander Campbell, who will discharge all present and future liabilities of the said firm.

AT the election of seven (7) Trustees to represent the Makerua Drainage District held by me on the 5th day of November, 1928, the following were the number of votes recorded for each of the candidates:—
