NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.
I, WALTER JAMES ROBERTSON, of Wellington, Medical Practitioner, hereby give notice that I have assumed, and from henceforth on all occasions intend to sign as, and to be called and known by, the name of WALTER JAMES HOPE-ROBERTSON only, in place of my present name of WALTER JAMES ROBERTSON: And further, that such intended change of name is formally declared and evidenced by a deed poll under my hand bearing date the 24th day of October, 1928, and intended forthwith to be enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington.
In witness whereof I now sign and subscribe myself by my intended future name.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company will be held at the office of the Liquidator, 166 Featherston Street, in the City of Wellington, on Wednesday, the 21st day of November, 1928, at 3 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and to hear any explanation which may be given by the Liquidator, and for determining in what manner the books, accounts, and documents of the company shall be disposed of.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves on the 25th day of October, 1928, as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the special loan of one hundred and forty-eight thousand seven hundred pounds (£148,700) authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of—
(a) Installing stormwater drainage in that portion of the City of Wellington formerly comprised in the Borough of Miramar at an estimated cost of one hundred and ten thousand (£110,000); and
(b) Sewerage and waterworks extensions in the City of Wellington at an estimated cost of thirty-eight thousand seven hundred and fifty-two pounds (£38,752);
the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-five two-hundredths of a penny (35/200d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years from the 1st day of May, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves on the 25th day of October, 1928, as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) to be known as “The Wellington City Street-widening Loan, 1928,” authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of meeting the purchase-money, compensation, and expenditure in relation to the purchase or taking of any lands as authorized in and by Part IV of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, as amended by the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1927, and for recouping any moneys expended by the Council for such purposes, and for the purpose of constructing and paving the widening, diversion, alteration, or extension of the following streets in the City of Wellington:—
Buckle Street, Arthur Street, Aro Street (Willis Street to Town Belt), Taranaki Street, Ghuznee Street, Hunter Street, Constable Street, Willis Street, Manners Street, Thorndon Quay, Tory Street Extension, new 66-ft. street, Bowen Street and Lambton Quay, Brougham Street, Adelaide Road (between Luxford Street and southern boundary of T.A. 1100), Rintoul Street, Luxford Street, Tory Street, Courtenay Place to Buckle Street (60 ft. on western side), new street (Wadestown), Washington Avenue, Chaytor Street, Marine Parade (Seatoun), Mount Street, corner Hataitai and Waitoa Roads, junction Waipapa and Kainui Roads, Hornsey Road, Queen’s Drive, Mortimer Terrace, Grant Road and Park Street, Brighton and Clyde Streets, Evans Bay Road, Wade and Lytton Streets (Wadestown), John and Hanson Streets, also for the acquisition of properties as circumstances necessitates or opportunity offers in addition to properties in the streets specified;
the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventeenth of a penny (1/17d.) in the pound on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years from the 1st day of May, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Resolved: “That, in view of the insolvent position of CLARKSON MOTORS, LTD., the company be placed in voluntary liquidation as from the 18th October, 1928, and that JAMES ROBERT MCILRAITH, Assistant Manager of the Dominion Mercantile Agency, Ltd., Wellington, be appointed Liquidator; and, further, that Liquidator’s fees and expenses be a first charge on assets realized.”

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, carrying on business as Pharmaceutical Chemists and Druggists, Opticians and Optical and Photographical Supply Agents at Oamaru, under the style or firm of “Kinder and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th day of September, 1928. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by William Kinder, who will continue to carry on the said business under the style or firm of “Kinder and Co.”
