Transmitting and Receiving Officer for the Service of Notices by Telegraph.

General Post Office,
Wellington, 24th October, 1928.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officer, at the address set against his name, is hereby appointed Transmitting and Receiving Officer for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid—

Arthur Shelton, Chief Postmaster, New Plymouth.

This cancels the Warrant previously issued appointing Arthur Shelton Transmitting and Receiving Officer for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid, at any office.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Waitara, of the County of Taranaki, and the Waitara West Riding of the County of Taranaki.

Wellington, 26th October, 1928.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Waitara are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council dated the 17th day of September, 1928, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 70 of the 20th day of September, 1928.

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Taranaki affected by the said Order in Council dated the 17th day of September, 1928, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Waitara West Riding of the County of Taranaki affected by the said Order in Council dated the 17th day of September, 1928, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF WAITARA.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point at low-water mark of the sea in line with the western boundary of A 2, part Reserve A, Block I, Paritutu Survey District; thence easterly along low-water mark of the sea to the northern end of the training-wall on the western side of the mouth of the Waitara River; thence south-easterly along the western side of the said wall to high-water mark; thence in a southerly direction along high-water mark to a point in line with the southern side of Howard Street; thence by a right line to and along the southern side of Howard Street to the westernmost corner of Section 1, Waitara East District, Block I, Waitara Survey District; thence by Sections 1, 2, 5, and 7, said Waitara East District, to Elliot Street; thence by the western side of Elliot Street to the north-eastern corner of Section 23, Waitara East District; thence along the northern and western boundaries of that section and Section 28, Waitara East District, to the northernmost corner of Section 32; thence by the north-western boundary of that section to and across Princess Street to the northernmost corner of Section 31, said Waitara East District; thence by the western side of Princess Street to a point in line with the line dividing Subdivision 2, as shown on plan 3617, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth; thence westerly along a right line to a point 400 links distant from the western side of Princess Street; thence by a line parallel to and distant 400 links from the western side of Princess Street to the southernmost corner of Lot 2 on plan 4778, deposited as aforesaid; thence by the south-western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, plan 4778 aforesaid, and Lot 1 on plan 4783, deposited as aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along a line, being the production of the aforesaid south-western boundary of Lot 1 on said plan 4783, to the north-western boundary of Section 13, Waitara East District; thence along the north-western boundaries of Sections 13 and 12, Waitara East District, to the western boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence by the western boundary of Section 12 and the north-western boundary of Section 14 to the eastern side of the Manukorihi Road; thence by the eastern side of that road to the angle on the western side of Section 24, Waitara East District; thence across Manukorihi Road to the Waitara River and by the right bank of that river to a point due east of the confluence of the Mangahinau Stream with the Waitara River; thence by a right line across the Waitara River to and by the said Mangahinau Stream to the western side of Nelson Street, by the western side of Nelson Street to the northernmost corner of Section 29, Waitara West District; thence by the northern boundary of that section to the western side of the Waitara—New Plymouth railway; thence by that railway to the western boundary of Section 25, Waitara West District; thence by that boundary and the western side of Ranfurly Street to the southern side of Battiscombe Terrace; thence south-westerly by the southern side of Brown Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 136, Block I, Paritutu Survey District; thence across Brown Road to and by the western boundary of Section 136 aforesaid, and A 2, part Reserve A, to low-water mark of the sea, the place of commencement.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF TARANAKI.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded on the east by the Borough of Waitara, hereinbefore described, and Clifton County, from the mouth of the Waitara River to the confluence of the Waitara River and the Manganui Stream; thence up the middle of the Manganui and Mangapoto Streams to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 167; thence along that boundary to Roddy Road, and along Roddy and Clarke Roads to the southern boundary of Block IX, Waitara Survey District; thence by that boundary to the north-western corner of Section 151, Block XIII, Waitara Survey District; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 151, 150, 149, and 208, to the south-eastern corner of Section 148, Block XIII aforesaid; thence along the southern boundary of Sections 148 and 134 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 133, 132, 131, 130,
