Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

STAFF.

Captain M. E. Johnson, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Staff Officer-in-Charge No. 7 Regimental District, Napier, dated 11th August, 1928; and relinquishes the appointments of Adjutant, Auckland Mounted Rifles, and Adjutant, Waikato Mounted Rifles, Hamilton, dated 29th August, 1928.

Captain A. Bongard, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 1b, and Adjutant, 1st Battalion, North Auckland Regiment, Whangarei, dated 19th August, 1928; and is appointed Area Officer, Area 7c, Gisborne, dated 31st August, 1928.

Captain W. R. Burge, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 7c, Gisborne, dated 30th August, 1928; and is appointed Area Officer, Area 5A, Wellington, dated 11th September, 1928.

THE AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant L. A. Miller is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 4. Dated 12th October, 1928.

THE NORTH AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant D. G. Morrison to be Lieutenant. Dated 11th September, 1928.

CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Southern Depot.

Lieutenant A. R. Smith is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 10. Dated 15th October, 1928.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.

The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).

Lieutenant H. A. Jones, 4th C Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 18th October, 1928.

The Wellington Regiment.

Lieutenant J. Bennett, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 12th October, 1928.

The Hawke’s Bay Regiment.

Thomas Duncan Scott to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 3rd C Battalion. Dated 13th October, 1928.
