WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1928.
Land set apart as an Addition to a Public Domain.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the portions of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land adjacent to and intersecting the Brighton Domain described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said Brighton Domain.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood 36 perches, more or less, being part of closed road Section 1318R, Block I, Otokia Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the east generally by Section 60, 251·1 links, 106·6 links, 73·8 links, and 90 links; towards the south by the foreshore, 110 links; towards the west generally by part Section 8, 119·75 links, 100 links, 112·6 links, and 100·7 links; and towards the north generally by a public road, 156·4 links and 32·1 links: Be all the aforementioned linkages more or less.
Also, all that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less, being other part of closed road Section 1318R, Block I, Otokia Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north generally by the foreshore, 110 links; towards the south-east by Section 47, 80 links, 1455·4 links, and 12 links; towards the south-west by Bath Street, Township of Brighton, 101·4 links; and towards the north-west by Section 47, 1408 links and 50 links: Be all the aforementioned linkages more or less.
As the same are more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/146B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BRIGHTON DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 15 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Sections 47 and 61, Block I, Otokia Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the point where the main road intersects the south bank of the foreshore at the mouth of the Otokia Creek; thence towards the north generally by said bank, 2650 links; towards the east generally by the ocean, 700 links; towards the south generally by the ocean, 6100 links; towards the west by a beach reserve, 60 links; again towards the north by Beach Street, Township of Brighton, 2307·2 links; and towards the west by Bath Street, 440 links, and the main road, 328 links and 60 links, to the point of commencement, and excluding therefrom a closed road intersecting Section 47 and numbered 1318R, a deduction for which has been made from the area.
Also, all that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section 60, Block I, Otokia Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north generally by the Main Road, 87·6 links, 792 links; towards the south by the Ocean, 350 links, and the foreshore at the mouth of the Otokia Creek, 800 links; and towards the west generally by closed road, 1318R, 90 links, 73·8 links, 106·6 links, and 251·1 links.
Also, all that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 2 roods 13·2 perches, more or less, being Section 63, Block I, Otokia Survey District, and Lot 1 of Land Transfer plan 2130, and bounded as follows: Towards the west generally by the main road, 57·9 links, 534·7 links, and 120 links; towards the east by closed road 1318R, 100·7 links, 112·6 links, 100 links, and 119·75 links; towards the south generally by the foreshore at the mouth of the Otokia Creek, 310 links and 45 links; and towards the south-west by Lot 2 of said plan 2130, 40·7 links.
Also, all that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 36 perches, more or less, being Section 62, Block I, Otokia Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north generally by Lots 4, 3, and 2 of Land Transfer plan 2130, 105·1 links, 101 links, 50·88 links, 150 links, 213·4 links, and 250 links; towards the south by the foreshore at the mouth of the Otokia Creek, 920 links; and towards the west by the main road, 75. links: Be all the aforementioned linkages more or less.
As the same are more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/146C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of October, 1928.
