WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Wanganui County Council to execute a certain public work—to wit, the acquisition of land and erection of a worker’s dwelling in the County of Wanganui—and for the purpose of such public work to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the land described in the Schedule hereto:

And notice is hereby further given that a copy of the plan showing the land required to be taken for the said public work, with the names of the owner and occupier of such land, is deposited at the office of the Wanganui County Council in Campbell Place, in the City of Wanganui, and is there open to inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours:

And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wanganui County Council at its office aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an extraordinary resolution duly passed on the 18th October, 1928, in accordance with the provisions of section 220 of the above Act, it was resolved that:—

“It having been proved to the company’s satisfaction that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, that the company be wound up voluntarily, and CHARLES KINGSLEY MILLS, of Auckland, Accountant, shall be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other authorities and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing and/or securing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000) authorized to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the extension of water-mains in the borough, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-six one-hundredths of a penny in the pound (36/100ths of 1d. in the £) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipawa Borough Council, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waipawa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
