NOTICE is hereby given that I, HENRY STARKIE, of 12 Nelson Street, in the City of Auckland, Plumber, intend to present a petition to the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Wellington, praying that the above-mentioned Letters Patent be extended for a further term: And notice is hereby given that I intend to apply to the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington on Wednesday, the 28th day of November, 1928, for a day to be fixed before which the said petition shall not be heard: And notice is hereby given that any persons desirous of being heard in opposition of the prayer of the said petition must, before the said Wednesday, the 28th day of November, 1928, lodge notice of such opposition in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington, and serve a copy thereof at the office of my solicitors, Messrs. Park and Hemery, of 142 Featherston Street, Wellington: and notice is hereby further given that the office of the said Messrs. Park and Hemery is the address for service on me of any document of which service upon me is required in accordance with the Rules of the Supreme Court under the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–22.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned ARNOLD JAMES GREENE and ROBERT WILLIAM HAMILTON OLIVER, carrying on business as Sheep-farmers at Tarata, near Ingle-
wood, under the style or firm of “Greene and Oliver,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of September, 1928. All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Arnold James Greene, who will continue to carry on the said business under his own name.

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £16,235, authorized to be raised by the Waipukurau Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for improvements to footpaths, reforming and draining Ruataniwha Street, stormwater drainage, purchase of plant, the said Waipukurau Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2·1/25d. (two pence and one twenty-fifth of a penny) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipukurau (on the basis of the unimproved value), and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above resolution making the said special rate was confirmed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council held on the 15th day of October, 1928.

HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £4,971, authorized to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing roads in Patetonga Riding Roads Loan Special-rating Area, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny three-farthings (1¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property within the Patetonga Riding Roads Loan Special-rating Area, comprising the whole of Patetonga Riding with the exception of (a) Section 1, Block I, Waitoa Survey District, and (b) Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of part Section 6, Block I, Waitoa Survey District; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
