Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough
of Geraldine.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 23rd October, 1928.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Muni-
cipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the areas described
in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the County of
Geraldine and included in the Borough of Geraldine. All
persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written
objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of
boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from
the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions
to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREAS PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF GERALDINE
AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF GERALDINE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waihi
River in line with the northern boundary of the Borough of
Geraldine; thence southerly along that right bank to the
southernmost point of Suburban Section No. 15; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of the Borough of
Geraldine to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the
Waihi River in line with the north-eastern corner of Reserve
755; thence southerly along the right bank of the Waihi
River and the south-eastern and western boundaries of the
said Reserve 755 to its northernmost corner; thence by a
right line to the right bank of the Waihi River, and along
that bank to the point of commencement.

The Sharebrokers Act, 1908.-Amendment to the Rules of the
Auckland Stock Exchange.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General in Council has
been pleased to approve of the following amendment
to the rules of the Auckland Stock Exchange.

AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.
Alteration to the Rules.
The following new rule is to be inserted in substitution for
existing Rule 13:-
"13. The Committee shall appoint a secretary who shall
hold office during their pleasure and at such remuneration
as they may from time to time fix."
We hereby certify that the above alteration to the rules
was passed and adopted at a special general meeting of the
Auckland Stock Exchange called for the purpose on the
31st day of August, 1928, and that the requirements of law
and of the rules of the said exchange were fully complied
with.

Handicraft Teachers' Certificate Examinations, 1928.

THE following lists contain the results of the examina-
tions held in August, 1928, for the purposes of
handicraft teachers' certificates. In the preparation of the
lists consideration has been given to candidates successes
at previous examinations held by the Department.
The first list (I) contains the names of successful candidates
for the handicraft teachers' certificate examination. Certifi-
cates will be issued to such of these as have produced
satisfactory evidence of age and good character, have passed
the special medical examination required, and have fulfilled
the necessary conditions as to length of service and efficiency
in teaching.
The second list (II) gives the names of those who have
gained passes or partial passes in one or more sections of the
examination.
In the third list (III) are given the names of the candidates
whose work has been deemed worthy of "special mention."
The next examination will take place in August, 1929.
Notice must be sent to the Director of Education so as to
reach him not later than the 31st May, 1929. Candidates
who have yet to complete the examination must observe
this rule equally with other candidates, and must not expect
to receive any further information of the date at which the
notices become due.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application
in that behalf made to me by the Grey and Buller
Coal-mines Deputies' and Underviewers' Industrial Union of
Workers, registered number 1030, situated at Blackball, and
in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me
by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration
Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of
that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from
the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless
in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
