Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act,
1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that from and after the date hereof the land de-
scribed in the First Schedule hereto, being a piece of closed
road and being land which is adjacent to the endowment for
primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto,
shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Otamatea
County, containing by admeasurement 6·3 perches, more or
less, being Allotment 199, Village of Kaiwaka. As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and
S. 22/747/79, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, contain-
ing by admeasurement 2 roods 13·4 perches, more or less,
being portion of Allotment 37, Village of Kaiwaka, Block III,
Otamatea Survey District, and being part of the said allot-
ment permanently set aside for educational purposes and
apportioned for primary education by notice published in
the New Zealand Gazette of the 16th day of December, 1878,
page 1771. As the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 22/747/79A, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of

tion, the police-gaol at Naseby, in the Land District of Otago,
shall cease to be a police-gaol.

of a Width less than 66 ft. but not less than 54 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of
October, 1928.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the
Auckland City Council to permit the laying-off of the street
described in the Schedule hereto of a width of less than sixty-
six feet but not less than fifty-four feet, it being inexpe-
dient to lay off such street of a width of sixty-six feet.
SCHEDULE.
THAT street in the North Auckland Land District, City of
Auckland, known as Otahuri Crescent, containing by ad-
measurement l acre l rood 14 perches, more or less; adjoining
or passing through part Allotment l, Section 12, Suburbs of
Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 73175, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.

Amending Regulations under the Fireblight Act, 1922, declaring
Commercial Fruitgrowing Districts, and prescribing the
Time and Manner in which Hawthorn in such Districts
shall be dealt with.-Notice No. Ag. 2742.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of
September, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by the Fireblight Act, 1922 (herein-
after termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations
in further amendment of the Fireblight Regulations, 1927
(hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”), pub-
lished in the Gazette on the nineteenth day of May, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, at page 1469, and
doth declare that this Order in Council shall take effect from
the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.
REGULATIONS.
- THESE regulations may be cited as “ The Fireblight Regu-
lations, 1927, Amendment No. 2.” - The First Schedule of the principal regulations is hereby
amended by revoking the definitions of the Whangarei and
Thames districts as set out therein, and substituting the
following definitions :-
I. WHANGAREI DISTRICT.
All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section
89, in Block V, Whangarei Survey District; thence south-
easterly along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of
the said section and Reretiti Block to the stream forming
