Lands set apart as Provisional State Forests declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being portions of provisional State forests set apart by Proclamations dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, respectively, and gazetted on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and the fourteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, respectively, are required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such lands shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forests, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District containing 180 acres, more or less, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1667, situated in Block VI, Kanieri Survey District, bounded as follows : Commencing at a point on the Kanieri Water-race, 4100 links due west of the boundary between Blocks VI and VII, Kanieri Survey District ; thence following in the order and directions given lines of the following bearings and distances 14° 45', 6100 links ; 251° 30', 4650 links; thence due south to the Kanieri Water-race ; and thence returning in an easterly direction along the said water-race to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan A

marked L. and S. X/98/41, deposited in the Head Office Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
Also all that area in the Westland Land District containing 120 acres, more or less, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1622, situated in Block VI, Kanieri Survey District, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the intersection of the Kanieri Water-race with the eastern boundary of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1622; thence running due north a distance of 3900 links ; thence 800 links on a bearing of 251° 30' and 3550 links on a bearing of 265° 30'; thence due south to the aforesaid Kanieri Water-race ; and thence eastward along the Kanieri Water-race to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/98/41A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of September, 1928.
