to provide for separate representation of the Whangarei County and the last-mentioned combined district, respectively, on the said Hospital Board :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the last-mentioned Act, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council so far as it constitutes the combined district of Whangarei County and Hikurangi Town District and provides for representation thereof on the Whangarei Hospital Board, and doth hereby constitute the Hikurangi Town District and the Kamo Town District a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and doth declare that the Hikurangi Town District shall be the principal contributory local authority of such combined district, and doth determine that the number of representatives of the said combined district on the said Hospital Board shall be one, and doth fix the date of the first election of the representative of the said combined district as the date on which shall be held the next general election of members of the Hikurangi Town Board : and doth hereby further determine that the number of representatives of the Whangarei County on the said Hospital Board shall be six, and doth fix the date of the first election of such representatives as the date on which shall be held the next general election of members of the Whangarei County Council, and doth hereby further declare that the representatives of the combined district of Whangarei County and Hikurangi Town Board, the constitution of which is hereby revoked, shall continue to hold office until the last-mentioned date, and shall then retire from office.

Abolishing the Orton Drainage District, County of Raglan.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council made under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, dated the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, the area described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council was constituted a drainage district under the said Act, to be called the Orton Drainage District :
And whereas a petition, signed by a majority of the ratepayers in the said drainage district, has been presented to the Governor-General praying that the said district may be abolished :
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the said petition :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred in the said Land Drainage Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish the said Orton Drainage District as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Conferring Special Jurisdiction on the Native Land Court.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of September, 1928.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that, in addition to the jurisdiction elsewhere in the said Act conferred upon the Native Land Court, the Governor-General may by Order in Council confer upon the Court jurisdiction in any matter or question affecting the rights of Natives in any real or personal property :
And whereas it is expedient to confer upon the Court the said jurisdiction as hereinafter appears :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned and all other powers thereunto him enabling, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confer upon the Native Land Court jurisdiction to hear and determine as between Natives any claim, whether at law or in equity, as to the ownership or possession of the printing-press known as the “Waitangi Printing-press,” and any claim to recover possession thereof, with power and jurisdiction to make such order or orders as the circumstances of the case may require, and to enforce compliance therewith as fully and effectually as if the claim and order was one within the ordinary jurisdiction of the Court.

Consenting to stopping Portions of Road in Block VIII, Heretaunga Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Hawke’s Bay County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold :
1 rood 26 perches.
Being Subdivision 6, part Subdivision 4 of Section 264, Moa District.
Situated in Block IX, Huiroa Survey District.
In the Taranaki Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 47625, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.
